Yes to 1, 5, 6, 11, 12, 14, 16 & 18! Must try the other 12. xo
These all look delicious, I’m going to be on a mission to try every one of them! Thanks for sharing.
Everything looks so amazing! I can’t wait to visit L.A. sometime.
Oh. My. Goodness. Everything just looks insanely amazing. Wish I lived closer to LA because I would be trying everything out!
This list looks amazing! It makes me a little sad, I must admit, since I don’t live in LA (every time you post a restaurant adventure, I check the website to see if the place has an NY location!). But I’ll definitely share it with my best friend who lives out there. Thanks for sharing!
I LOVE this…. and I hate that I don’t live near LA anymore so I can try these out of the weekend. It will just make visiting that much better =)

Gosh, now I know where I want to go…I love the mix of wild creativity and classics here.
This is awesome. Can’t wait to try these out next time I’m home!
Frosted cupcakes are the best!
these all sound amazing! a few of my favorite things right now are the Chicken Pot Pie, Mexican Chocolate pie, and Maple Custard Pie at the Pie Hole…. i noticed you went to the Pie Hole, but I think you may have missed my favorite items on their menu 🙂 …. things that make this ice cream girl a wannabe pie girl!
love this list – especially the gjelina butterscotch goodness. my fave!
Mmm… It was better for me not to see this! Now I’m hungry!!
Ah…
This list is SUCH perfect timing as I am off to LA with the girl and the man in bit. And although we have been before, it’s been a LONG time and we don’t know it like we know NYC.
Off to write these down…
i want to move back to LA right now!
Thanks Mika!
I actually havent been! Ive had some picked up and had at home before but need to go in person!

Thank you so much for mentioning Frosted! I live in Long Beach, a few blocks from their first location, and I have been visiting since they first opened! Best cupcakes ever!
I love this post! I’m from Orange County (but now living in the Bay Area) and I lit up when I recognized a few places on your list. Bahn Khanom Thai is awesome (I really like their pandan custard). I’ve never been to Jitlada, but that dish looks very good. And, of course, who can pass up The Boiling Crab? (I even tried my hand at making their whole sha-bang sauce for a recent at-home crab feast.)
I’m going to have to write down all the other places and try them out the next time I’m in SoCal. Thanks for the list!
all these look so good, thanks for sharing!
my favorite LA bites are: cafe dulce’s (little tokyo) red bean/green tea donuts, tavern’s sweet potato chips and lemon ricotta pancakes, farmshop’s fried chicken, carrot cupcakes from magnolia bakery, sweet rose creamery’s ice-cream, osteria mozza’s butternut squash mezzalune (ravioli-style) and milk’s strawberry shortcake shake.
so many of these places i want to try!
Yeah, I totally feel my own food adventure coming on… as a local, some really great, unique picks here and some of the others that have popped up in comments have me planning a little eating tour around town. The curry dish from Jitlada looks nothing short of amazing.
Yum!! Looking forward to trying many of these on my next visit to L.A.!
Oh gosh. A chocolate hazelnut beignet?? Salted caramel ice cream? I definitely need to make an LA trip soon!
Ummm yum!! This is such a cruel post for those of us who don’t live in LA and want to eat every single thing listed….delicious!
Wow! Great list. The mini lobster roll is SOOO cute! I also love salted caramel ice cream… the best I’ve had was at Berthillon in Paris!
Love this! I have definitely over dosed on that Pot De Creme at Gjelina. YUM!
you’ve pretty much listed everything i love! 🙂
oh man… I will need to bookmark this page if I ever get to LA. And also in Singapore, it means I need to get out more and discover stuff…
This is great! We are going to LA in April, so I will definitely save this to my reader and call upon it when we get there!
Thank you for your “best list”, I refer back to them often.
