I recently attended and hosted a birthday party for friends, both of which require something fun and festive. If I'm attending a summer birthday party, I like to keep it casual with lightweight shorts and a cute patterned top {you don't want to outshine the birthday guy or gal on their special day!}
But if I am hosting the party, I like to kick it up a notch and get a little 50's with it—perhaps, a bright manicure and a polka dot dress? And, since you'll be running all around making sure everyone is happy, comfortable sandals that are still a little fancy are kind of a must! — Bri
