Bob picked up these hi-tops {otherwise known as perfectly-sized mini cupcake sandwiches} from one of my favorite cupcake shops in LA, Frosted, for our 6th anniversary yesterday. I ate about half of these in an afternoon…salted caramel, chocolate, and red velvet…yum. The best part about having a dozen of these little guys was putting them on a tiered tray. Putting anything on tiers makes them seem instantly more special and like I've been slaving over a hot oven all day even when I couldn't have been further away from one…
gasp – what a delicious idea!
What a great husband! Any man who brings home delicious treats is doing something right!
Oh dear. I give you props for having ANY left. I needn’t ask if you had a nice anniversary. 🙂
What a cute idea, why hide them in a box when you can show them off on that tier! Happy anniversary to you both!
Well, that is a very pretty tiered tray! Ooh, I’m making my way out to LA on friday! These look amazing!

Their salted caramel mini cupcakes are AMAZING. The restaurants in Long Beach’s Belmont Shore area have a “Stroll n Savor” once a month during the summer when you can sample food in exchange for tickets right on the sidewalk. I always save a few tickets for Frosted and pick up the salted caramel and red velvet cakes to finish off the moveable feast.
YUM!! Salted caramel sounds like perfection. And love the sandwich style – I’ve never seen those! So cute.

Thanks for including the link for the tier Joy, so thoughtful of u. Sadly, they are currently out of stock. Interested to try Frosted next time I’m on Highland. Cheers and best to u and the family.

Salted caramel for snacking is the best! Love the tiered plating — very elegant 🙂
I recently purchased a 3 tiered cake stand, and love it! It is so fun to display desserts and fruit, or anything for that matter!! Those mini cupcakes look divine, btw.
