We've been in New York the last couple days, and Ruby has been loving all the sights and sounds (and the amazing local playgrounds) that this city has to offer. It's so fun to come back to a city I know and love and get to see New York through her eyes.
Today, my baby girl turns one! Holy cow, how did that happen? Everyone says that first year flys by, and they're not kidding! This last year has been the most emotional, overwhelming, yet amazing and wonderful year of my life. I have a new found respect for mothers and parents everywhere and can't wait for what's to come. We're having a traditional Dol celebration for Ruby this weekend at my in-law's, and then we celebrate her birthday with our friends back home in LA next week! Your daughter is absolutely beautiful. I love to see how you dress her as I have a 5 month old daughter and am always looking to buy her cute outfits.
P.S. – I bought a bunch of your items that you designed and just love them. Having a few minutes everyday to read your blog always puts a smile on my face. Hopefully I will get a chance to see you when you are in NY for your book signing!

aw, happy birthday Ruby! Those photos are so sweet. I did something similar for Charlie each month and made a collage of all of them and it is now hung in our house. It is crazy to see the moment he started to look like “Charlie”. He’s turning 2 (holy crap) next month, and I will say that the second year was even better than the first! have fun 🙂 And congrats on making it through the first year – it is not an easy feat! x xx

I have loved your Ruby monthlies, and she is just adorable! My little guy is about a month younger than Ruby so I always watch to see what’s in store for us in the coming weeks. 😉
Our little friend just turned 1 and she had a Dol birthday with her Koreans grandparents. She picked a guitar and a ball, so she will be a musician and an athlete! Such a cute little tradition!
