Oh Joy | How I'd Wear a Patterned Skirt

Lately, I've been transitioning from the flowy skirts of summer to a more streamlined silhouette for the fall. Something about the A-line shape sometimes feels a little too serious for me, so I love the using pattern to make a fun and not-too-formal statement. Here, I'm pairing this striped skirt with a colorful floral top and a spotty cross-body bag. Topped with a fall coat and some sparkly heels, I'm ready to head out to delicious dinner with friends!

1. ASOS coat, 2. Madewell floral tee, 3. Lauren Moffatt striped skirt, 4. ASOS bag, 5. heels from Anthropologie.

  1. Joy, Just wanted to say ever since I started reading your sweet blog you’ve inspired me to dress more fun and more colorful! Fall feels super bright and full of life this year! Thanks for all your hard work! -linds

  2. Can I just say that 1) I’m loving these beautiful illustrations and 2) if I had half the wardrobe these looks have illustrated I’d be the most fashionable girl on the block. Alas, I’m so utterly clueless when it comes to that stuff, but I’m enjoying your presentation.

  3. Congratulations on this wonderful reading article. I found it very informative and interesting too, I think you are a brilliant writer. I have bookmarked your blog and will return in the future.
