I love finding hidden spots in this city. Tucked away in the beautiful Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in Mid-Wilshire, there's a sweet little cafe called C+M (Coffee and Milk) that serves up beautiful and delicious treats.
In between soaking up the lastest exhibits, we took a break to enjoy some tarts, pastries, and mini pies in the beautiful, light-filled space.
My favorite of the bunch was this lemon curd and lavender pop tart. It was just the right mix of sweet and tart…and I'm kind of really into lemon desserts these days. Oh, and C+M has savory bites, too (like brie and pear sandwiches), but the desserts are the real star in my book!

Oh I WANT that bacon pop tart! OMG!
Cafes in museums are my favorite! When I lived in London, and whenever I go back to visit, afternoon tea at the museums were/are a must. There’s something about the airiness, the attention to aesthetics, and the detail in the food that makes the whole experience pleasant. I’ve never seen a strawberry pistachio tart, though. It’s absolutely on my “must taste” list now. Nom.
Yup, now I’m hungry. Those all look amazing! I’ve been wanting to go up to LACMA and this is the perfect excuse to make the drive. 🙂

That strawberry and pistachio tart is a very pretty picture to behold! I’m going to have to make my own some time seeing as I don’t have access to your wonderful eateries! Thanks for the inspiration. Beautiful photos 🙂
These posts make me happy because I recently moved to LA so I’m kind of clueless as to where to eat! I’ll be hitting this place up. My husband works on Wilshire, next time I visit him on his lunch break we’ll explore. Thanks, Joy! It looks sooooo good!
Where did you get your beautiful brown shoulder bag?
Absolutely love this place! So lovely meeting you the other night at the Blog, Inc. event at West Elm! xx
A BACON pop tart? That’s, like, two of my favorite things in one.
I leave walking distance from this place, will have to stop by. Last time we were there I noticed it but didn’t go in. This post just convinced me. Thanks Joy!
