  1. This was awesome. Thanks! I really love the quote about blogging and home live being a juggling act rather than balance. It really is. I get so tired of people asking how I find the balance to do everything I’m doing. It’s just a cycle of events that all lead to a personally fulled life. It’s not for everyone, but I LOVE each of my roles as wife, mom, artist, and blogger.
Thanks for the encouragement and insight!

  2. Loved it guys! Thanks for all the tips… my favorite part was joy’s comparison of balance/juggling. Often times, I feel like i’m all over the place and not balanced. Wait, what…? I don’t have to be balanced?! I do juggle quite well and come to find out today, that’s how a lot of you do things too! Nice to hear that perfection is not part of this industry! I’d love to get your book, joy.

  3. This presentation was AWESOME!! Loved the questions you chose and the info, and was also checking out the technical side (i.e. structure of chat, backdrops, start and ending, etc.)–great job! Did you use a Google “Hangout on Air” to run this? I just found out about that. It worked great from a viewer’s perspective. (Now I want to try it, too!) I’m about to start a blog but haven’t made the leap yet, so all of this was really helpful. Thanks again so much! 🙂

  4. everything about this video was marvelous! i feel so inspired to work through a few road blocks my blog seems to be having, this video was just the Rx i needed. thank you!

  5. Thank you so much! You ladies are both wonderful and I admire all you do. I so appreciate all the tips and blog helps. Great chat! I agree with so many others’ comments… the juggling act makes so much sense! I need to learn juggle… I’ve been trying way too hard to balance everything. Thanks!

  6. Hi Joy, i just recently started following your blog and i’m already in love. It was great to hear from you and Naomi, great advice!
    Lots of love!

  7. Ha ha – “they’re just about CATS, or kittens, or things you can do with your cats, or stuff you can buy for your cats…” – replace that with dogs, and that’s so me! 🙂
Really loved this chat ladies. It was down to earth and generous – thank you!

  8. joy/naomi – i LOVED watching this so much. i just started blogging about a month ago and received my first comment (that wasn’t from my mom) the other day. i was so excited and it really got me so excited to keep sharing and to keep blogging. thank you for the great info and constant inspiration!
ps i always forget that taza’s name isn’t ‘taza’ !!

  9. I am so glad you guys posted this! I can’t wait to go pick up a copy of Blog Inc. now. I just started getting serious about blogging earlier this year as a hobby, a way to document my family life and things I love, and also a means to get experience as a photographer. I have loved it so much and the friends I have made because of it. I am hoping to take my blog to another level come 2013, and watching this has helped so much!! I was at work earlier and when 11 came around I was thinking, “Crap, Joy and Naomi are on right now, and I have to miss it!” Thanks so much for archiving it. You guys are great.

  10. Thank you so much for posting this here. This chat was so great that I postponed my weekly “once upon a time” episode to watch it 😉
The 30 minutest went by in a second, thanks for sharing your advice and thoughts!

  11. I feel like we just had coffee Joy and Naomi! Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and encouraging words, especially there at the end. I love the thought that everyone has something to share and that someone out there is interested. The blogging world feels so big sometimes but it’s okay to just contribute in your own little way.

  12. Great chat! I’ve been blogging for nearly 4 years now and its been great and fascinating watching both of your blogs grow. I even remember when Naomi’s blog was featured on Blogger yeara ago 🙂
I’m constantly amazed by how much blogging has changed in the last few years, at one point my blog was pretty popular but I found it exhausting and actually quite intimidating. I’m always impressed with how ‘bigger’ bloggers keep consistently posting amazing content without losing the love of blogging so thank you for sharing that.

  13. I had a great time listening to you and Naomi for half and hour. I really connected with everything you said about blogging and especially about JUGGLING it all: business, being creative, being a mom, a wife etc… It feels really good to know we are all pretty much in the same boat and managing pretty well! I really hope that you will do more chats. Thanks!!

  14. Joy! Naomi!
How wonderful to sit back, relax, and listen to your lovely words of advice today. Thank you for taking the time to get together and share with us all. I’m an avid, albeit silent, follower of Naomi’s and I’m so tickled to branch out and enjoy your blog, Joy!!
Oh, the Joy’s of blogging and sharing with friends 🙂

  15. Ok, so call me a dork, but after I watched this last night I got up as fast as I could, left the kids with my hubby, and took a late night run to Barnes N Noble to purchase the book. I am so glad I did because I am loving it, and the information presented is super beneficial. Thanks again!

  16. This chat was incredibly helpful! I love to blog, and I’ve been doing it on and off for several years, but I could never find a focus and I’m definitely not consistent. Now I’ve kind of accepted that my “focus” encompasses my life. I’m still not consistent thought, but I’m trying! Thanks so much for sharing your insight!

  17. Hi Joy,
I just bought your book! I’ve been thinking about creating a blog for so long. I’m basically blogging on my facebookpage, but I would like to reach more people who are on the same level as me 🙂
I hope to find good tips (I’m sure I will). I’m sure I will take the plunge after reading your book to get a good start. Thanks for being so inspiring!
