I love the mission behind Apolisa socially motivated lifestyle brand that empowers communities worldwide. While Apolis carries mostly mens' clothing and accessories, I've always loved their bags for myself; I find them to be the perfect mix of casual and polished.

Oh-joy-apolis-3

So, in celebration of Mother's Day, I've partnered with the guys at Apolis to give away this Apolis + Kinfolk garden bag (which retails for $78) to one lucky reader. The bags are handcrafted by a women's artisan co-op in Bangladesh and finished in California. While the garden bag was designed for gardening and picnicking, it's been perfect for using as a baby bag for Ruby. The multiple outside pockets come in handy for having quick access to toys, games, snacks, and other toddler necessities. (And I'm all about baby bags that don't look like baby bags.)

To enter, simply visit Apolis' website and then leave a comment here telling me how you'd use the bag. Entries must be posted by this Monday, May 6th, at 8 a.m. PST, and one winner will be chosen at random*. And, you can see more from this fun day shown right here

P.S. Apolis is offering a special 20% off discount sitewide for Oh Joy readers for Mother's Day. Enter code OHJOY20 at checkout through May 12th, 2013. And, if you're in the United States and want to receive the Garden Bag before Mother's Day use the ADDITIONAL code MOTHERS for free USA "2-Day" shipping through Tuesday, May 7th.

Both codes are exclusively available to Oh Joy readers.

UPDATE: Congrats to Doris R. from Dallas, TX for being our winner this time!

  1. Love the bag! I would use it at the farmer’s market or to pick up my CSA share each week this summer. All the pockets are great for making sure that delicate produce doesn’t get crushed.

  2. it would be perfect as a crafting bag….or maybe just for all my knitting supplies.

  3. I think it would be a baby bag for me, too, with us about to have two in diapers. But i love that it would be easy to pack a picnic in it as well or take grocery shopping.

  4. How marvelous the bag is. So many uses. One of them for me would be to carry a knitting project with me. I would be able to have different supplies and the pattern and yarn.

  5. Love how versatile this bag is. It makes an excellent baby bag (which I may use it for one day). For now, I’d use it at the lovely farmer’s market here in my town, and for beach picnics.

  6. I’d use it for a beach bag – that way I could keep my wet towels away from my paperback and be able to find my sunglasses, right in their own little pocket.

  7. So cute! I would probably use the bag for my toddler as well. It would be great for him to have easy access to his toys, treats etc using the outside pockets instead of him digging through the bag and making a huge mess!

  8. Beautiful bag. The pictures are so cute!! Your Ruby is just adorable! I would use the bag as a baby bag (or should I say “toddler bag”) as well. I have a 16 month old for whom I lug around a ton of stuff. You know how it is! : )
