everyday beauty…

Ulta-everyday-beauty

I'm pretty low-key when it comes to makeup and beauty products. But I do have some staples that I like to use as part of my everyday routine…

Nails: My favorite peachy shade that I love layering with some glittery gold polish on top.

Hair: A great brush for styling my bangs and some dry shampoo for "those" days you just don't get to the shower.

Lips: I can't live without a moisturizing lip balm, and I love adding a pop of color with a lip stain and lipstick to instantly make me look more awake (even when I'm not).

Body: A pretty body wash and perfume to give each day a little extra sweetness.

Cheeks: A classic cheek stain for that glowing flush of color.

As we approach the holiday season, I love the idea of giving everyday beauty staples likes these to loved ones. Things that are both useful and beautiful make for a gift that people are more likely to actually use. What are some of your everyday beauty staples?

  1. Glad you are not one of those crazy people who have a million products stashed in their beauty closet. Minimal is great. I’ve been wanting to try this eos lip balm, how cute is it’s small round shape 🙂

  2. Thanks for this! Just picked up some Orla Kiely X Target beauty bags for holiday gifts and packing them with everyday essentials would be a great idea. 🙂

  3. Hi Joy! I love how your post shows that even simple rituals can make a difference in your daily looks. Plus, as a busy mom, I don’t have time to go to a store’s cosmetic aisle and figure out what’s good or not. My question however is about your favorite essie peach shade. When I click on the link, it goes to a collection of nail polishes. Is your favorite “Saturday Disco Fever?”
    Thanks

  4. Great list Joy! Those EOS lip balms have an added perk of being great for kids too. Both my daughter and son have them in their backpacks for chapped lips. The whole design of the balm is just perfect for little hands, while being impossible to open for curious babies :).

  5. benetint is one of my favorites. something i always have to have in my bag, and it lasts so long! those essie colors are winners! i may have to grab those little guys for myself!
