I love finding special ways to create a family portrait, and custom illustrations have been one of my favorites lately. I'm a huge fan of the work of Jennifer Vallez from Sophie and Lili. So just in time for Valentine's Day (or really, any regular day you want to make something special), we've partnered with Jennifer to give away a custom family/friend/self portrait to one lucky reader ($165 retail value). You can see the one she made of Ruby and I above from our trip to Mexico and some others below…

To enter this giveaway, simply visit Sophie and Lili, then leave a comment here telling me who would be in your custom portrait. Entries must be posted by this Friday, January 17th, at 8 a.m. PST, and one winner will be chosen at random*.

  8. Mine include (from an old photo) myself and my deceased husband. It is the best picture of the two of us together and it would remind me of all the wonderful years we spent together.

  10. I would have my 2 sweet miracle babies and I in it. We weren’t suppose to be able to have kids. We adopted our first and 3 years later out sweet baby girl came along. She has amazing work! We have 1 of her sweet dolls. ?

  40. Adorable! I’d love to capture my girls and I. They bookend the kids; being the oldest and youngest of 6 with 10 years between. Thankfully, I am blessed that even though they have 10 yrs. between, they are close! So, it would be nice to get a sweet piece of us girls before my eldest moves out.

Tuch made his way home with dad after early season training in Austria and is a favorite of my sons. He goes with us whenever we travel to meet up with dad on the road. Beautiful artwork.
