We've seen chalkboard used in homes…for kid's rooms, offices, kitchens…everything. It's one of those techniques that is popular for a reason—it's so versatile and totally useful, too. I'm constantly finding inspiration from retail stores and love these uses of chalkboard paint in stores that make for great inspiration at home, too…

  1. agreed!
i adore chalkboard paint. my sister painted one whole wall for her toddler son’s bedroom and that is how he learned to write his letters! I would love to paint one wall in my apartment but it doesn’t allow for painting (boo!) I’ve been thinking i might just do it anyway and paint it back before i move out.
i see that last one is an actual chalkboard, and not paint against the brick wall. Which do you think is better? I guess there is a time and place for everything depending on your space! Do you think you’ll paint a wall in your studio or home in as a chalkboard?
beautiful photos, by the way. great inspiration here, as always!

  5. We just made chalkboard paint for our house. We painted the back of our door and coffee table. I love it because we can write reminders and little notes. The coffee table is a huge hit with the kids that visit.
