As a wearer of glasses (for over 20 years), I love coming across shops that carry vintage frames that can be made into prescription glasses or even sunglasses. I came across Society of the Spectacle in L.A.'s Highland Park when filming our Dressing the Bump series last year, and it's still one of my favorite spots to be inspired by all the frame options out there.
I usually steer away from colored frames, but a vintage pair like these add a nice pop of color to your face!
These sparkly frames above are not vintage (but vintage-inspired) and they are so, so fun! Let's just inject glitter into all our eyewear, shall we?

What a fun store. I already spot some very cool frames. Looks like a must visit when in LA. Thanks Joy!
Oooh la la I wish this store would make its way East… I need a new pair, too! Thanks for sharing!
Can you provide deets on the wood grain specs in the top photo? I LOVE them!
What an awesome store! I keep hearing more and more people talk about how cool Highland Park is. Since I live in Echo Park, I think a mini trip (see: 10 minute car drive) is needed to check out this place.

Society of the Spectacle is fantastic! So glad you featured them! I got my glasses there and just looooove them. The ladies who own the place are so knowledgeable and kind. Plus, they really do have the best selection of glasses.
Those blue glasses are great on you! Did you get them?

So fun! My favorite pair of glasses I had were orange. When did I become boring?!
Thanks for sharing! I’m always looking for fun places to check out every time I’m in L.A., so this seems like a fun stop to make.
Oh wow! Stoked this is in LA, as I’m visiting in just a couple of weeks! So many cute glasses!
I’ve been wearing glasses for as long as I can remember and I know I love it! If it weren’t for the fun frames we can play around with now, I wouldn’t like them as much!
Informative blog. Keep sharing.
