My little Coco turns ONE tomorrow! Last weekend, we celebrated her birthday with a big party with a bunch of our friends at a local park. Before I share photos from the actual party, I wanted to show you some of the pieces that I got for it so you can see how it all came together afterwards and how these could be used for any party no matter the location. 

Here are some of the things I prepped for the Wild Animal Confettti party…

01. Table - You guys know how much I love paper party decor because it makes clean-up so easy. I bought these confetti plates a few months ago (you might remember we used them here). To compliment the confetti plates, I also got some ombre and gold plates and had these wooden utensils leftover from Ruby's 1st birthday party. For Coco's cake, we topped it with a flamingo, swan, this glittery cake topper and surrounded it with a bunch of these cool glow-in-the-dark animals that were leftover from party favors.

02. Outfits - Picking out outfits for the girls has become one of my favorite things (because kid's clothes are way more fun than adult's clothing!). Since it's still warm here in Los Angeles, I kept them cool in summery clothes. Ruby's paired a super soft tee with a confetti skirt and her favorite sandals. Coco, the birthday girl, wore this confetti top and bloomers with a little hair pin and dotty party shoes.

03. Decor - Since we were setting up in a public park, we scoped out the park ahead of time to see what areas we'd could easily decorate and pre-prepped clusters of honeycomb shapes in mint, cobalt blue, turquoise, green, and peach in a mix of shapes and sizes—along with a couple of these that are instant party. We hung these honeycomb poufs up and also placed some on smaller tables along with some party animals that wore party hats from my previous Target collection.

04. Balloons - Because these balloons were too amazing not to get, we mixed a few of these zebras and flamingos in with the hanging decor.

05. Korean Ceremony – Since my husband is Korean, for both of the kids, we celebrated with a simple Doljabi ceremony where Coco was let loose to pick from one of these objects. What she picks is supposed to represent what she'll be some day!

06. Favors - To stick with the wild animal theme, each kid got a glow-in-the-dark animal along with a set of foldable binoculars to search for wild animals (or wild siblings) at home.

07. Book Drive – In lieu of gifts, this year we asked all our friends to bring a book (either used or new) for us to collect to donate to Baby2Baby for children in need. We collected over 40 books that day! It's a great option for when you don't want or need more toys, but guests still want to bring something and you can help less fortunate kids at the same time.
