Happy Friday guys! After our recent survey, those of you not living in LA said that sometimes I tease you with photos of the food that I eat here. I totally get it and photos of food tease me, too (especially if I can't have those things like RIGHT NOW). But, I love food and love sharing my favorites. I'll still share some Los Angeles spots with you from time-to-time, but instead I'm going to share a few of my favorites each month all in one post. So every month, those of you who are in LA or those who plan to visit soon can still get a round-up of new spots to eat at in Los Angeles if/when you are in town next 😉 Click below to see my favorites from this month…
First up, is Trois Familia, a French Mexican super casual spot by the guys (and gal) behind some of my other favorites like Animal, Son of a Gun, Trois Mec, and Petite Trois.
It's breakfast/brunch/lunch that offers twists on the classics (like churro french toast) along with California Mexican goodness (like double decker potato tacos and chilaquiles). It's all amazingly good—which is why it's always very busy. I mean, look at that…are you drooling yet?

Next up, donuts! Blue Star Donuts (a staple in Portland) recently set up a new shop in Venice.
I will gladly take a donut any day of the week especially when they're flavors like chocolate ganache, pineapple-pistachio piña colada, raspberry-rosemary buttermilk, and meyer lemon-key lime. This take-away spot full of fried dough make all my worries go away.

Finally, one small edible treat that you guys who aren't in Los Angeles can get your hands on…this gorgeous chocolate bar from Compartes (based in Los Angeles but ships all over). We picked these up for our Housewarming Welcome Kit post and haven't been able to put it down since. Have you ever seen chocolate so pretty?
I hope you have a great weekend full of lots of good bites! 😉

Abbott Kinney has gotta be my favorite spot for good food in LA. Gjelina & Tasting Kitchen my two fav sports. Have you tried the bread pudding from Huckleberry? It’s warm, chocolaty and so yummy! I miss LA for all it’s good food scene! Happy weekend!!
Those donuts look fabulous! A terrible post to read when I’m starving!
