Last year, I started sharing more of my personal style on Instagram stories through my Outfit of the Day posts. A lot of you asked how to incorporate more color into your wardrobe and tips on color, in general. I used to only wear black and grey (if you can believe it!). For me, it took time to slowly integrate color into my style, and now it's a big part of my style in so many ways. This month, we're starting a new series, Color Adventures, where every month, we'll be showing you how to mix a couple different colors together—in your wardrobe and in your home! Today, we'll start with the style version of this month's color combination, pink and green. In each of the four outfits I put together, the colors get more and more bold to help you work your way into the color combo…
If you're apprehensive of mixing two colors together in your wardrobe, start with subtle versions of each color. This heathered green sweatshirt mixed with pale pink offers a bit of color without getting too bold right away. Plus, this is a comfy outfit perfect for a low-key weekend.
Just-a-Hint: Ban.do sweatshirt, J.Crew jeans, Benumade earrings, Zuzii shoes, and Clare V. bag.
Take it up a notch by mixing a "safe" version of one color with a bolder version of another. The olive green could be worn with anything, but serves as a great neutral base to mix with these bubble gum pink pants. Because the pants are on the baggier side, the body suit offers a good contrast so that both piece aren't too baggy. Finally, I added crisp white shoes for a fresh and bright (yet neutral) accent.
Casual and colorful: Common bodysuit, Zara pants (past season), Marais sandals, and vintage necklace.
Once you feel a little more comfortable with mixing pink and green, go for a bold pattern that incorporates both colors. You can then highlight a color or two from the dress with your accessories. I paired this floral dress with an olive bag and customized pink typography to tie into the pink and olive from the dress. Any other pieces that you could add to this outfit (shoes, jacket, or jewelry) should stay neutral to let the dress shine and be the focus.
Pattern-filled: vintage maxi floral dress, Benumade earrings, customized Madewell bag, and Bryr sandals.
Finally, here's a way to go bold or go home 😉 Once you get comfortable with various shades of colors, you can feel more free to mix light, bold, and dark shades together. I mixed these pale green pants with a magenta pink coat for a combo that not everyone would think to combine. But with a patterned shirt that has a touch of each color in it, it all somehow works. If you're mixing a bunch of bold pieces together, then use shoes and accessories as a place to stay neutral.
Pow Wow: Doops Design tee, Ellie Kai coat, vintage pants ($20 at a thrift store), Loeffler Randall sandals (past season), and Benumade earrings.
What do you guys think? Which combos of pink and green here are your favorite?

Love the looks.
I used to wear only black but have now started wearing more colour. The graphic sweater is so cute, by the way.
My favorites are the sweatshirt one (comfy and cute), and the last one with the fuchsia coat (so much color awesomeness – needed in the winter).
I love all these colorful looks!
I am wondering this as well! I’ve wanted that sweatshirt forever but am not sure what size eto get.
Hi!
I’m pretty sure I have an XS. They are def. cozy without being too tight!
