color adventures: a purple and blush office!

For May, we're welcoming spring with two very feminine colors—purple and blush! Did you know that purple is my least favorite color in the whole world?! But with our Color Adventures series, Julia made me include purple to embrace my hidden inner purple lover. Today, we're starting with an office in this soft and feminine pairing. Here are our tips on how to combine the two colors!

color adventures: a purple and blush office

1. Lay the groundwork. We started with a bold rug in purple and accented it with furniture in blush since the lavender rug brings in a huge dose of purple. Considering purple and pink could look VERY little girl if used with the most basic versions of those colors, we made sure to use more sophisticated shades of lavender and blush instead.

2. Add art with accents from the color palette. For the prints, we chose 3 different sized prints with the bright fuchsia print as a focus to add a pop to the room. Since the prints are all very different, we unified them with white frames for all three.

3. Add additional pops of color through desk accessories. We brought the purple back in with the desk accessories. Because the large rug has so much purple in it, we tried not to overwhelm the room with too much of purple. Instead, we chose smaller accents of purple through the final touches in the desk accessories!
