Today, we're going to Pasadena, CA which is just 20 minutes outside of Los Angeles for our latest Oh Joy Day Trip! Pasadena has a family-friendly vibe with Angelenos living here when they want more of a neighborhood feel than you might get in parts of Los Angeles proper. Here are some of our favorite spots in Pasadena…

Minoso — Start with an inspiration shopping trip to this cute, fun, and affordable Japanese goods shop. You can find practical things you may need for the kitchen, beauty products, and clothing accessories mixed with some random items that make for fun gifts.

Olive & June — Take a little shopping break at the prettiest nail salon in town. It's modern and lovely, and you'll walk away with the best mani/pedi while feeling so much more relaxed!

Float — Take a lunch break at Float with their mix of sandwiches, coffee, pastries, sodas…and of course, floats! We loved the Harvest Vegetarian sandwich and Pastrami Banh Mi. You can make a custom float out of any soda they have and mix it with interesting ice cream flavors—like peach, horchata, macadamia nut, and vanilla ice cream mixed with Watermelon Basil, Lemon & Elderflower, Rose Lemonade sodas. YUM!

Folia Collective — After a visit to Float, right next door is this boutique plant and accessory shop where you can shop from a beautifully curated selection of greenery as well as the pots and containers to house them. They also carry other gifts like cards and small wall hangings. The inside is beautiful—cozy but still bright and airy.

Afters ice Cream — Because every Oh Joy Day Trip ends with ice cream, try the Milky Bun with Cookie Monster ice cream and Fruity Pebbles from Afters. The milky bun is like a glazed donut which can be paired with any of their unique ice cream flavors like Jasmine Milk Tea, Strawberry Cake ice cream, and more…
