It's time for the style segment of this month's Color Adventures! Here are four fun outfits mixing and matching this month's yellow and blue color combo in varying degrees. I'm also re-wearing pieces from past posts in different ways. Take a look!
Patterned Pops of Yellow — This dress brings a splash of yellow through the citrus pattern and can be worn on its own or layered with a jacket (which I wore previously here) as we head into fall. It's perfect for the office, a Saturday afternoon, or a night out for dinner…anytime really! When mixing two bold colors together, I always stick to neutral shoes like these silver mules.
Patterned Pops of Yellow: DRA jacket (past season), Whit dress, Loeffler Randall heels.
Summer Soiree — This ensemble is fit for a fancy, beachside party! It's not a dress I could wear everyday, but is a fun option for a special occasion. Since the blue and white stripes can skew preppy, I paired it with bright yellow heels for a pop of unexpected color and banana earrings for a bit of whimsy.
Summer Soiree: J.Crew earrings, J.Crew dress, Just Fab heels.
Garden Party — This outfit mixes lighter shades of yellow and blue equally for a cheerful, sophisticated look. It's soft and sweet, perfect for a garden party, baby shower, or day date! Also, I turned the vintage dress from this previous post into a skirt. The top of the dress was too big and didn't work great on me, and now I love it so much more as a skirt.
Garden Party: Block Artt earrings (similar), J.Crew top, vintage skirt, Marais sandals (past season).
Floral Flair — For a little 60's boho, this outfit is just right for those in-between summer and fall months! It's comfortable, stylish, and makes a statement. It's perfect to run around in on the weekends or wear to the office.
Floral Flair: J. Crew earrings, Anthropologie top, Harlow Jade jumpsuit, Marais sandals.
Which of these combos would you wear?

Yellow is my fave. I once wore a yellow skirt with a blue top to preschool graduation when I was teaching and had one of my four year olds say I looked like snow white. It wasn’t what I was going for, but a four year old saying I looked like a princess…I’ll take that any day!
Haha! Snow White! I didn’t even think of that! Love it.
