It is blowing my mind that we are already edging on Halloween! Last year, we painted Artist-Inspired pumpkins…and this year, we painted a new batch inspired by the designs that surround us here at the Oh Joy office everyday! Inspired by our current furniture collection, we wanted to show how a pumpkin can really take it's cue from anything! So go out and be inspired by your surroundings, your favorite dress, or a color combination you love to get your pumpkin decorating started!
You can go super graphic with a bold black and white print. It's fresh and modern and is really fun if you're more into neutrals…
Or, make a super colorful with a bright multi-color print! These pumpkins scream joy and would be really fun for kids to help paint as well.
…or mix both black and white and pops of color together! We used acrylic paint to paint these and brushes in a variety of sizes. Go wild with it!
P.S. When being inspired by fabric or an existing design, remember that's it's fun to let it inspire a personal project, but should not be used to create a product to sell with someone else's pattern. That may seem like an obvious statement, but you'll be surprised how many people don't realize that's a no-no!

These looks amazing and how fabulous to see them against the chairs that inspired each piece.
The gold top ‘tops’ them off perfectly for sure.
Very clever to use the inspiration that is around you, I’m sure we all have a favourite fabric or other pattern in eyeline somewhere in our homes.
