We've gone from Fabric to Room, Dress to Room, even Painting to Room… and now we're going to show you how to go from pillow to room! Drawing inspiration from this pretty color-blocked pillow, here's how we styled a living room…
The inspiration piece for this room is this velvet throw pillow with a grid of 4 colors—blush, pink, navy blue, and green.
When you're inspired by a piece of home decor or a textile like this, look at which colors you could work with for your large pieces. The blush in the pillow inspired the blush couch (which is basically a neutral color for us now over here).
We then played off navy blue with a blue on blue wall and brought in some greens into the rug underneath. The exciting thing about being inspired by a piece is that it exposes you to color ways that you might not have otherwise thought about on your own.
Finally, always balance out a mix of colors with neutrals like wood, metallics, and marble!

I am loving the colours used here! Would love to be able to do things like that for my apartment.
