You'll need…
straw tote
velvet ribbon (ours is from Mood)
gold ric rac
– hot glue

Here's how…
1. Lay out the order and colors of ribbon and ric rac you like. We alternated thin and thick velvet ribbon and left space for the gold ric rac between.
2. Attach with hot glue all the way around the body of the tote.
3. Finish by gluing the ric rac all the way around each of the handles.

Voilà! Now you've got the perfect tote to gift to a friend or pack full and bring with you wherever your week of adventures take you!

  1. How cute and simple! Unfortunately, I’ve found that hot glue doesn’t quite hold up to the rigors of being used a lot. Especially for uneven surfaces that tend to move about a lot. Is there another way to more permanently adhere all the strips to the bag?
