Adding a little flower power to your wardrobe has never been easier! This floral embroidered clutch DIY will take less than 30 minutes, and it's both summery and chic. It totally looks like a vintage find, but we actually took a plain clutch and gave it new life with some pretty raffia ribbon. Plus, it makes a great spring accessory or a sweet a one-of-a-kind gift (Mother's Day IS coming up!). Here's how to make one…
You'll need…
- woven clutch
– raffia ribbon
– embroidery needle
Here's how…
1. Start by threading your needle with the color you'd like to use for the petals of your flower. Sew each large stitch to represent a petal and go around clock-wise until you've completed one whole flower. If you'd like to make a thicker petal, you can sew twice over the same petal to make it wider. Finish with a knot on the inside of the clutch.
2. Add a finishing details to each flower by stitching yellow through the center in small overlapping loops (2 or 3 stitches should be good).
It's now a must-have accessory for date nights or weekend brunches!
