Happy Monday! Today, we have a fun DIY for you that adds unexpected texture to a plain lamp shade! We found an old shade in need of some TLC and made it new with colorful ribbon, fringe, and a little hot glue. It's really easy but brings a lot of warmth, detail and personality to a room! Here's how…
You'll need…
– lamp shade
– velvet ribbon (pink, green)
– green fringe trim
– pink trim (ours is from The Social Type)
– gold rick rack
– hot glue gun
Here's how…
1. Sketch out the layout and design that you'd like on your lamp shade before any gluing.
2. Apply glue directly to the lamp shade and lay ribbon/trim over the glue. Then continue to trim as needed to fill from every side of the shade.

This is such an fun & easy DIY, but what an impact. I will definitely be making two of these for our bedside tables, can’t wait to choose some colours! I think pink is a must! Thanks so much for sharing!
