I love one-piece jumpers. They are so fun and somehow chic at the same time. However, I find myself sometimes annoyed with rompers when it comes to bathroom time. You know those times when you've waited too long to go and then you find yourself trying to rip off your romper and attempting to not have a toddler-sized accident. An alternate to the look of a romper that I am LOVING right now…matching top and bottoms! While matching "too much" used to seem very outdated, there's something chic about the same top and pants or skirt that I love in a great, bold print. The best part is you can take each piece and turn into a completely new outfit. Here are three ways to work it…
Shown: Marimekko pants and top from Anthropologie, ModCloth wedges.
I rarely wear a classic white button-down shirt. But it's really such a perfect piece to complement a statement pair of pants like this. I would feel comfortable wearing this outfit to work or to a meeting where I needed to be more conservative but still express my sense of style.
Shown: Engle Roberts top, Marimekko pants, Loeffler Randall heels.
To create a more casual look from this matching set, I paired the top with overalls and heels! Overalls can feel frumpy, so I always mix them with feminine and flowy tops that add movement to the otherwise straight piece.
Shown: Marimekko top from Anthropologie, Target overalls (past season), Clare V. purse, and And Other Stories heels (past season).
Also, I wanted to share a few other matching tops/bottoms I love in other price points…like this floral tank and shorts set from Zara.
…and this abstract blouse and skirt from Target!

Ok totally loving this set. Actually OBSESSED! And I love it even more than you can create several more outfits with it!
