Seating is often something we're lacking when guests come over…especially in smaller spaces. So today, we're making a perfect little seat that's great to have on hand for when guests stop by. We used simple, abstract brush strokes that are super easy and impossible to mess up that were inspired by the Gray Malin painting shown above…

You'll need…
stool
spray paint
– acrylic paint
– paint brushes
polyacrylic spray

Here's how…
1. Spray paint the stool with spray paint (we chose white).
2. Let dry for 30 minutes.
3. Pick three or four acrylic paint colors that you'd like to use for your pattern.
4. We did a simple abstract brush stroke pattern. You may want to wait about 10 minutes between each color so that they don't blend together.
5. Finish with polyacrylic spray.
6. Let dry for 2 hours.

It's that easy! You can paint a few to mix-and-match. And, when not in use as seats, they also work as mini side tables perfect for placing near a chair or couch!
