June is almost over (what!?), which means we're wrapping up this month's Pattern Adventures with a few of my favorite ways to wear dots! Because polka dots are always a classic in my mind, I tried to focus on bolder dot patterns that might be more challenging to style with. From shirts to dresses to matching tops and bottoms, here are four ways to rock them…

Oh Joy Wears Jumbo Dots!

Dots on Top — This is the perfect outfit to ease into wearing large dots! The top is super flowy and fun but won't overwhelm you with pattern. Because the top is casual and not overly colorful, I paired it with some seriously shiny party booties and a simple pair of jeans.

Dot Party — I love that this dress incorporates both large and small dots! The black and white color scheme helps it feel not too crazy as it plays with scale. While this is meant to be a sleeve tank, I paired it with a light blush shirt underneath because I wanted more coverage in the cleavage area then what this dress would look like without it! Then, I topped it off with some glitzy earrings and booties to make it ready for a night out on the town.

Pastel Pop — I'm loving the look of matching top and bottom outfits these days! It's super easy to throw on while still looking put together (plus, you get the same look as a jumpsuit and make bathroom breaks SO much easier!). To add lots of fun pops of color to this outfit, I played up the pastels with color-blocked heels, a super fun fringe jacket, and dangly statement earrings.

Allover Dabs — This outfit is perfect for those days you want to be both comfortable and classy. The vintage piece is easy to dress up with a pair of green suede heels and a cute purse for brunch with friends. The allover print is super fun because it's more organic than your typical polka dot pattern.

  1. I have always really struggled to style polka dots & so avoided buying them, but there is some serious inspiration here!! I adore the black & white dotted dress with the Corinne t-shirt – what a beautiful outfit. I think I need to get down to the shops asap!
