This month's Pattern Adventure is…COLOR-BLOCKING! It's a unique one and not something you see all the time, so it's been super fun to put together. First up, we have a color-blocked nook that uses a fun wall mural to achieve the look. Here's how we styled the space…

1. Create an actual block of color! We created a focal point on the wall with a mustard color block! This is a super creative way to designate space in the corner of a room. Plus, it's an easy and simple way of to make a wall mural that also serves as an art piece.

2. Add plants and art. We centered the plant in the corner to make a statement and let it shine! For the prints, we wanted to create a fun little vignette between them and bench, so we placed them slightly inside the mustard square block.

3. Add contrast. We brought in a hot pink chair for a great pop of color that goes nicely with the dark blue, sage green, and mustard on the whites. When picking a bright color, it's important that it still fits well with the color scheme of the overall room.

4. Accent pieces. We didn't want the mustard to be ONLY on the walls, so we brought in a few smaller accessories, like the pillow and blanket, to carry the color throughout. We also brought in a few gold pieces to add dimension to the yellow.
