Today, we're combining two of our favorite things…a matching mommy and me moment along with METALLICS! We love styling with metallics here at Oh Joy! so much, whether it's in fashion or home decor, that we consider it a "neutral." So today (with the help of our models Julia and Zealand), we're showing you how you can incorporate metallics into your closets and your kiddo's with four outfits perfect for summer or fall.

When picking matching outfits, we love for them to be complimentary as oppose to completely matchy-matchy. So we used similar color palettes and a general theme (like metallics) rather than getting exactly the same outfit in different sizes. Check it out…

Fruit Punch — These two outfits incorporate lots of bright pops of color along with lots of silver! For Mom's outfit, we have these super fun sweatpants that are extra cool because they're covered in sequins. To elevate the look, we paired them with bright pink heels. For our mini me, we have fun silver leggings, a fruity top, and fun striped shoes! The pairing is fresh and fun and coordinates without being exactly the same.

All That Glitters — Give us all the gold! We love these outfits because they're so glamorous yet also chic and casual. For Mom's outfit, we have fun pale pink shorts with a gold sequin top, a gem covered clutch, and the prettiest rainbow glitter sandals ever. For our mini me, we have a super fun gold skirt and matching gold clogs, paired with a fluttery floral top and pink bow. This makes for a great pairing to a dressier event or a fun date night out with your babe.

Rose Gold Dreaming — If you ask us, you can never have too much rose gold. For Mom's outfit, we picked a fun color-blocked skirt that mixes silver and gold. We paired it with a pale blue tank top and a chic rose-gold moto jacket and clogs. For our mini me, we picked rose gold oxfords and leggings, then balanced it out with a feminine white top and a fun feather hair clip.

Silver Lining — For these two outfits, we opted for a more subtle metallic look by letting the accessories do most of the talking! For Mom's outfit, we picked a silver purse, matching clogs, and a top with splashes of colorful metallics. For a casual and everyday look, we topped it off with a great pair of jeans. For our mini me, we picked a sweet pink top with small silver stripes, a great dark silver skirt that works well with lots of colors, and glitter sandals. To complete the look, we paired it with a purple metallic purse and a fun pom hair tie.
