Kids’ rooms are one of our favorite spaces to reinvent. We took inspiration from a floral print and built an entire nursery around it…take a look!
Colors! We used the main colors from the print as our palette for the room: bright pink, blush, yellow and mint green.
Layered Rugs! Here, we opted for a layered rug effect. The base rug is great because it has two of the room’s main colors in it (green and yellow). We love that it also introduces a sophisticated stripe pattern into the space. On top of that rug, we added a fun daisy rug to tie in to the theme and help create a designated play area.
A Contrast Color! When styling any space, we love to throw in at least one bright, contrasting pop of color. For this space, we did that with a few splashes of hot pink with the vintage arm chair and throw pillow on the bed. Having a punch of color is a great way to keep things playful and balance the entire space.
Subtle Hints at a Theme! When styling with a theme or taking inspiration from something, we like to carry the theme throughout the space subtly by using similar color schemes and small nods throughout (like the saying on the letter board, for example!). You might not notice this nursery had a floral theme at first glance, but when you start to notice all the small details, it feels extra special!
