Happy October! We're kicking off the new month with maybe the coolest teenage bedroom ever. If you've got a pre-teen or teen living at home and want to steal a few of our styling tips to create a space of their own to study, sleep, and get inspired, check it out!

The inspiration! When styling spaces, there is usually a piece that inspires it all. For this space, we were inspired by the fancy peacock lounging on the bed. We love the electric blue mixed with purple and a pop of mustard. So, we used those three colors as our base palette! It's a color combo that works well for any space. 

Neutral furniture. When styling with bright and bold colors, balance it out with neutral furniture whenever possible. We kept the furniture in this space white or light wood and opted for a simple white rug as well. This lets the fun colors really pop!

A mini gallery wall! We love a gallery wall, especially one that is meant to be changed up often depending on season or mood! This one is extra fun because we incorporated typography art prints, tassels, and other decals (hello disco balls!). It's fun, inspirational, and filled with personality.

The colors! We picked blue for a half wall and paired it with purple bedding. We then brought in lots of fun accent pieces (the stools, knotted pillow, and artwork) in the mustard yellow to complete the look.
