Happy Monday! Nothing is quite as cool as an all (well, almost all) velvet living room. If you've ever loved a certain texture so much so that you just can't get enough of it, we say embrace it, lean into it, and style away! So today, we're showing you how we let velvet inspire this cozy living room…
Pillows — With any living room that you want to be warm and inviting, lots of pillows is always key! Here, we styled with pillows that are all super soft and have a cozy texture. We picked mostly circle pillows but made sure they vary in sizes and have unique details (like colorful pom poms!).
Rug inspiration — Here's the rug that inspired it all! It's bold, colorful, and brings in a great dose of texture. Since it is multicolored, we chose solid furniture pieces that accentuate colors found in the rug: bright mustard, hot pink, and dark green. Using one color palette throughout the space keeps it feeling cohesive even when there are a lot of bold colors at play.
Patterned Wallpaper — We love patterned wallpaper and are always looking for opportunities to bring it into the spaces we style! When styling in your own home, we know it can be a big commitment to pick a bold wallpaper, so one of our solutions is to just do a half wall or a 3/4th wall like we did here. This minimizes the impact the pattern has on the space but still lets you experiment with unexpected pattern.
