There's just something we love about having lots of plants in the home, especially during the winter when things can feel so cold and plantless outside. Plants are great for MANY reasons…they create a focal piece, add life and texture to any room, and double as art and decor. Plus, they've been shown to increase mood and productivity! So, here are a few of our favorite ways to incorporate plants into the home…

Vignettes — We love styling pretty much anything in groups of threes, and plants are no exception. Styling in smaller groups is great when first introducing plants into your home. Pick a few of your favorites, then create a small cluster of them on an end table, on top of a chair, a stack of books…whatever you want! When possible, we like to mix in a variety of plants and pots.

Shelfies — Displaying plants on shelves is a super easy way to incorporate them into your decor. You can sprinkle a few throughout a bookshelf along with other items, or you can make a statement by filling most of the bookshelf with plants. You can even create a shelf entirely dedicated to plants! The more the merrier.

Fill Corners — Got an empty corner? Put a plant (or two or three!) in it and utilize every inch of space that you've got. Plants will brighten the space and make it feel more filled and complete. We love doing this when styling larger plants and indoor trees, but you can pull it off with smaller ones, too.

Unexpected Places — Have you ever thought of displaying plants in an unused fireplace!? We love to take random spots in the home that aren't being utilized and give them a fresh new use. Like that bar cart or toy box that you never use anymore? Turn it into a chic greenhouse for your plant!

Statement LeavesIf you want to ease your way into plant life, statement leaves are a fun way to add greenery to your decor without fully committing. You can use faux leaves or real (we love eucalyptus either way!), and with just a few sprigs, you can make a fun focal point with minimal to no upkeep.

Unique Planters — Unique planters are our FAVORITE. Whether it's a quirky pot or something totally unexpected that we've turned into a planter, they make us smile. We've transformed old jewelry boxes into a home for succulents, converted teapots into plant pots, and have repurposed loads of vintage vessels into plant habitats.

Hanging Plants — We also love hanging plants because they remind us of arboretums! They add dimension to a room unlike any other decor. Plus, how pretty is it when they start to trail towards the ground?!

On The Walls — When you're short on space, living walls are fun to try! They make a large impact and cover lots of wall space, which is great for smaller spaces. You can also hang them from planters for a more minimalistic look, or you can create a cool peg board display to hang them from. The possibilities are endless!
