I grew up with strong female figures in my life that inspired me to reach for my dreams, even if they weren’t conventional or considered a guaranteed success.

Understanding our history as women helps us to grow and acknowledges the struggles of so many who came before us and paved the road for all of our current and future possibilities. But, there’s still plenty of work to do!

Oh Joy! has always been about supporting women and women-owned businesses and giving them a platform to be recognized.

Mentoring has been one way that I’ve loved lifting up other women-owned businesses. So this month, we’re going to be highlighting some of the amazing work and progress that the students of the Oh Joy! Academy have achieved. Each week, we’ll feature a few that are rising in their fields.

Let’s be inspired this month to stand up, claim our history, and march determinedly forward for progress for ALL women. Together we can achieve great things!
