The other day, I saw the new issue of Domino Magazine in real life at the book store! It was a surreal moment. When I was growing up, I never saw people who looked like me in magazines—let alone on the cover.
This cover feature means a lot to me for so many reasons but representation being the most important one. Thank you to Domino for featuring several years of hard work and our story and to the whole team for having me and for championing for diversity in this story.
Here’s the team there on the day to make this incredible cover! Check out their amazing work and follow them on social.

Thanks so much Marissa!
Congrats! That’s so exciting! Love Domino…I remember reading it when they first came out. I also love how you’re rocking that beautiful coat! So pretty… the colors!! 😍
Thanks so much Sarah! I’ve been reading Domino since it came out in 2005, too!
I’m so happy for you and love seeing how you’ve arranged your life. Congratulations! I’m a mom of 6 and an artist. At 60 I’m just now becoming who I was meant to be. You’ve gotten there early! 😘
Thank you so much Cindy! I’m slowly ebbing and flowing as life goes on.
