  2. I’m redecorating my livingroom and I have a little nook that I use to read and that lamp would look lovely on my sweet little (empty) table, next to my reading chair. Oh…and well, the outfit….my goodness, that would look great on my new and improved body (lost 28lbs) and feeling great! : ) ~Kathy

  3. The little blouse would bring a little spring into my closet (and I totally could wear it to my new brother in-law’s wedding in March!). The lamp would bring a mod bit of light into our home office (that lamp in there has GOT to go!). Thanks for sharing fabulous things with us!

  4. I am a psychology intern (read we do not get paid well) and a little soft light in my fluroescent office would make my office feel much more comfortoble in one of the most cloudy cities in the country (pittsburgh pa). Light pink pleated blouse what could help with the winter blue better (besides a sunny beach)

  5. This wonderful combination would add a bit of softness and brightness to my foggy and rainy Portland winter. Plus, any clothing item that has hints of springtime can only bring me that much closer to sunshine!

  6. just redecorated our home office and the lamp would be perfect!! and i cannot get enough of the pleats right now!! love them both!

  7. I love these items because they are so fresh and bright. January especially can get very dreary, these items are joyful and light- a perfect addition to my life!

  8. I need more blouses that can be fancy or dressed down, and that lamp is so lovely! Would fit perfectly on the new desk I’m building.

  9. Oh Joy! I recently purchase the sunwashed skirt from EmersonMade- and the blouse IS the perfect pairing. I am in love with the tiny pleats- and with that little lamp I could match my bedroom. Can’t think of a sweeter or better way to brighten up this gray month!
    xo.

  10. Even though I can’t complain much about the winters in L.A., I can certainly complain about the sadness of my closet and workspace! It desparately needs a boost of brightness and fresh air.

  11. These are both so lovely! They would make my winter so wonderful. They both scream spring and I can’t wait for it!

  12. the light pink blouse would contrast well with my blue eyes, and the lamp would light up the nursery for my baby due in this fall =)

  13. What a great giveaway, just in time because I am in need of a desk lamp so badly and cannot find one that I like!
I would wear my top with a grey skirt while typing out a letter to my mother underneath the light of my new lamp!

  14. What an amazing giveaway! Anything Emersonmade makes is beautiful – how can wearing that top NOT cheer up your mood? My apartment is so dark in these winter months. The Hector lamp would surely brighten my room.

  15. Oh my goodness, just looking at this gorgeous short sleeved blouse makes my heart swell. A winter in Minnesota definitely deserves an adorable top and an equally adorable lamp (that would be beautiful to wake up to every morning).

  16. The soft feminine colors AND pleats would brighten anyone’s winter wardrobe! This outfit would be the perfect way to welcome Spring.

  17. holy canoli! what a giveaway! that lamp will certainly brighten my nighttime reading ritual (i can finally ditch that flashlight under my covers) and that top is the perfect girlie piece for this spring (which brightens my wallet!)

  18. Winter in my office is pretty dull – my wardrobe suffers dramatically and I find myself wearing frumpy outfits to the office much more often than I’d like to admit. I also have a pretty dismal cubicle; you’d never know that I’m obsessed with design if you took a peek in! These items would both brighten up my winter!

  19. I’m sitting in my deary office in Chicago right now. I could really use a bit more light during these dark months. And the blouse would bring a little spring to my dark suits! What a nice giveaway!

  20. This pairing would DEFINITELY brighten up my winter. We’re getting another foot of snow tomorrow! Oy!

  21. …is it just me, or does winter make things seem more hectic and disorganized?
Having light-hued objects of beauty with crisp, clean pleats all in a row would soothe my cold snap-induced scattered feeling and refocus my thoughts.
I would love to wear this blouse to the brunch my Mom is hosting on the morning after my November wedding this year! …and the lamp would look lovely on my desk.

  22. can’t imagine how bouncing around in that frilly little blouse in that pleated light wouldn’t make someone’s day oh-so joyful.

  23. i would read in the dark evenings with that little lamp and wow my co-workers by actually wearing a dressy shirt!

  24. I live in Seattle… enough said! These would totally brighten up the dreary weather – and add some pretty color to all of the grays around here!

  25. This is just what I need to brighten up my new loft on these dreary Chicago days! Currently our office has no lamp so this would be perfect and I could look cute while using it!

  26. I became a widow this summer, and am looking for ways to brighten up my life. Simply put, both the luminous lamp and the luxe blouse would do so!

  27. i think this would do more than just brighten up my winter, i think it would MAKE my winter. AMAZINGNESS! love love love!

  28. The lamp would be perfect in my new apartment and I would definitely wear the shirt with my green coat out at night, or to class, or basically anywhere because it is so pretty.

  29. The blouse reminds me of the first hints of spring- when the petals are just peaking from their buds. The lamp lets of just enough light to brighten your day- as the early morning spring sun.

  30. I was going to post a comment (because I love Emersonmade and that blouse is tres cute!), but I think I’d rather say, give it to Deb! It sounds like she needs it more than I.

  31. Both of these pieces are gorgeous! I love the crispness of the colors. The touch of pink, and the soft light, keep the lamp and the blouse warm and inviting. My dark office space sure could use the lamp, and my pale, winter skin would benefit from the soft pink blouse!

  32. I could really use a good lamp to focus on my taskwork as I study to become a teacher! On the small budget of a college student, I’d give the shirt to my fiance for her Valentine’s birthday. The pale peachy pink would look beautiful on her and it’s better than the small gift I could afford.

  33. Well……I know the most perfect person to gift the top to (it would really brighten up her month!) and I have to admit that the light would really brighten mine!

  34. Is it just me or does winter start to get old after the holidays are over? There are no more presents to expect, no more family is coming over and, if you’re like me, your wallet is hurting quite a bit. Winter suddenly becomes dull. The pleated blouse would bring a little light into my wardrobe and that pleated lamp would bring so much light into my room on bleak winter days. I always look forward to packages, especially packages filled with goodies from EmersonMade and Gretel! What a winter surprise that would be!

  37. Oo Oo Oo! As I stare out my window at the day’s falling snow, I am secretly begging spring to make an early appearance. I moved from LA to NY almost two months ago to explore my favorite city before school begins. And although I absolutely made the right move, I will admit that any reminder of warmth is welcome! My design desk is sans lamp… and I promise to wear that Little Blouse often.

  38. I would love to read some good books to the light of that gorgeous lamp. And that blouse would be the perfect springtime top. Two wonderful stores! Thank you for the deal and the giveaway!

  39. Just moved into an apartment with no overhead lighting!! It’s a serious tragedy. With the dark winter still firmly in place a little light in both ways would really help me out. That cute little sweater would brighten up my regular wardrobe of grey and black….

  40. The harsh florescent light in my office is making this cold, cold winter even worse. The light and blouse are just the right, light touches to bring some warmth to these cold months.

  41. I’d use the lamp in my small living room to make a cozy low-light feel above my love seat. Then I’d pair the pleated blouse with some dark jeans and invite the boyfriend over for a stay-at-home date! 🙂

  42. I desperately need both of these for work. The top would be the perfect piece for winter-transition-to-spring for meetings, and the lamp would be perfect for my jewelry studio, in which I need more light! Love both of the sites!!

  43. These are both such lovely pieces! Since days are so much shorter during the winter, the lamp would do well to help light up my workspace while I spend hours doing school work this semester, and the blouse would be a cheerful reminder that spring is just around the corner and this Midwest winter can’t last forever 🙂

Well, not only would I be dressed fabulously, but it’d give me the dreamiest living room lighting I could ever want… the pleated shade on that light resembles the pendants I already have hanging in the adjacent dining room, and to carry that crisp clean look to one of my side tables would be incredible! 108. The blouse would hang on a cozy knitted hanger my ex-grandmother in law made in my office for a while so that I could admire it. I would then wear it from time to time and fiddle with the collar since that is what a collar like that deserves. But I would hope I could get it in seersucker, since I am more than mildly obsessed with seersucker.
The lamp deserves pride of place near my computer in my office. I would make my current lamp move, despite all its moaning.

  109. That blouse would be perfect to brighten up my mostly black winter wardrobe. Especially since I just moved and gave away a bunch of clothes so now my closet is looking sparse. The light would be perfect for a new reading nook I created and would bright up these cold snowy days in Boston.

  125. I love the textures in both the blouse and the lamp. The clean, feminine style of both is very much my style. I would use the lamp to brighten up my desk at home that I’m turning into my “creative space”, and the blouse would be the perfect top to make me feel cute for just about any occasion!

  130. I can’t decide which is cuter- the lamp or the blouse. Both are totally adorable. The blouse would make a nice change from all my gray sweaters and that lamp would be perfect on my bedside table.

  131. These guys would brighten my winter by helping me to work on two projects I’m slowing toiling away at – 1. building a work wardrobe that feels like me and can be mixed-and-matched into my everyday and going out wardrobe, (that blouse is amazingly perfect!), and 2. re-vamping my bedroom – I moved into a charming but small new apartment in September and my stuff just doesn’t fit right in my new space, so I’m working on slowly replacing and updating. That little cutie of a lamp would be spot on.

  132. This is such a fresh but warm pairing!! I, almost daily, swoon over the lovely designs of Emersonmade and have been SUPER lusting for this beauty of a top. Too, I could definitely use this charming, Pixar-like lamp on my teacher desk to light up my students’ work 🙂 🙂 I love the pleated effect on both designs!

  133. I just gave my desk lamp to my boyfriend so he could have a place of his own to do his grad school homework at home… this lamp would be a perfect replacement for my desk… or my new jewelry making area… I haven’t quite decided. And I’ve been looking for a blouse in that color for a while, this one is perfectly pale pink and just my style 🙂

  140. Oh goodness! I just spent way too much time daydreaming about warmer weather and soft spring shades while browsing Emerson Made. Also, my bedroom could really use that lamp…

  141. i get serious winter blues – the pink blouse and bright lamp would give me a much needed pick me up!

  142. Beautifullll! The tiny pleats on both remind me of a little flower ready to open for spring! Plus my entire house is white on white with a little gray, so that lamp would fit in nicely.

  143. It’s my birthday today so I think this lovely pairing would definitely brighten up my birthday!

  144. The beautiful EmersonMade blouse would be perfect for already-not-cold Florida weather. The flowy fabric might help me feel a breeze and think of cooler winters. And the beautiful pleated lamp can help brighten up my house (which I always complain does not have enough natural light) on these gloomy, rainy days. Both are great transitions into spring!

  145. Oh man, I hope that top could brighten up my winter with whatever makes the lovely Emerson so adorable. Maybe a little of her zest will travel to me in its threads? And that gorgeous lamp? I live in a 1920s building with low wattage, so adding light is always called for. I stayed in a hotel this weekend and could not believe how much easier it was to read under bright, 21st century light!

  146. :: The little blouse will brighten all of my winter outfits & the hector lamp will brighten my desk! ::

  147. Both lam and Blouse are B-E-A-U-T-F-U-L! Im a college student at art school who could really use the lamp to brighten my life! And as for the Blouse EmersonMade is my favorite designer!

  148. I’m pregnant—due early Spring. And I’ll definitely be ready for a new wardrobe! Oh, and didn’t I mention I broke my lamp recently?

  149. oh my geez… i may have blacked out for a minute.
Living in the mid-west, winters are no fun. And I am an environmental scientist, and only on weekends am I able to dress how I want… which seeing that my clothes during the week are always caked in mud and damp, I love to bring out the girly side of me. That EmersonMade blouse would fulfill my girly quota for the weekend! And the beautiful lamp would remind me when I leave home in the dark and come home in the dark that the sun will come back soon!

  150. even just seeing both of these things on my computer screen brightened my day. i’ve succumbed to winter ugly sweater dressing and the blouse just reminded me there’s a time i can wear pretty little things like that and it’s almost here! and the lamp would be perfect for my happy little sewing area. both are so happy and fresh looking 🙂

  151. This lamp would be the perfect addition to my nursery in progress and would definitely brighten up the room and my winter!

  152. This would definitely lighten up my winter wardrobe (mainly black) and my bedside table (which currently has no lamp. please note, i’m completely obsessed with all emersonmade clothes, accessories and housewares.

  153. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. This lamp would look amazing on my desk. And I could use a little pink in my closet!

  154. I live in the very north of Michigan on Lake Superior. It is often gray, dreary, and below zero. Not only would the lamp lighten up a room, but the blouse would lighten up the scenery where ever I would go. They are very needed in this part of the world.

  155. The lamp is so sweet and somehow a balance of minimal and feminine. I would love to use it on my bedside table (where it would nicely echo the pleats of my white bedskirt!). And as for the blouse, it’s just so darling! I’m loving embellished necklines for spring.

  156. I’ve been wearing black for about 5 months now…I would love to have a spring blouse add a little something different to wear! And…the lamp would be perfect for our office because my husband and I have been searching for the perfect lamp for our hours of working from home.

  157. ah! how could these two *not* brighten up my winter?!…and, they might just be the incentive I need to finish clearing off my desk and cleaning out my closet (two sadly incomplete new year’s resolutions!)

  158. My gosh those sites are cute! I’ve never visited either of them before… thanks for the discount! I’m going to spend some time browsing more later today 🙂
The top is adorable! What a lovely color too! I would love add such a feminine piece to my Spring collection.
As for the Lamp – what a great addition to a small entry table or corner needing some light 🙂 I have several places I’d like to put it!
    Thanks as always!!

  171. Wow! What an amazing pairing! That emersonmade blouse has been catching my eye since it appeared and would certainly help me look forward to spring a bit more! For now, it would look lovely under a super comfy cardigan. The lamp is perfect too! The pleats add a touch of fun!

  172. Luckily, I live in Los Angeles, so my winter doesn’t particularly need brightening…but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t LOVE this beautiful blouse or the lamp. Either may just out-shine these sunny winter days!

  173. this would be too dreamy! i absolutely love emersonmade and the fabulously springy collection she just revealed. my husband and i are also working on redecorating our bedroom, and that lamp looks perfect for my side of the bed.

  174. So cute. I could use a little femininity in my life for sure. The top is sweet without being saccharine. And the lamp is modern enough but soft.

  175. I just moved into a new apartment, so the lamp would brighten up my bedside table, and I just know that the amazing little shirt would help me survive all of the black, blue, and grey in my winter wardrobe while I’m anticipating the arrival of spring!

  176. A lovely pair. My little heart misses color…the perfect peach under that lighting would look fantastic with my lavender nail polish that is waiting for the Spring to make it’s debut!

  177. How could this not brighten a girl’s dreary winter day? I work in tiny non profit in a dark corner cubical, this adorable lamp and matching blouse would not just brighten my day, but my hardworking coworkers’ day!

  178. Wow, THE perfect blouse for spring. Love the pleats! It is cold and snowy here for a few more months at least. Little things like this help me imagine that spring is almost here. And the lamp would definitely be one of the most beautiful things in my dreary apartment.

  179. my basement apartment could relly use this pretty lamp to brighten up my reading corner! And my mostly navy blue(i have an unhealthy obsession)closet could really use some some light shades like that gorgeous top! LOVE!!!

  180. When I am having a gloomy day, I try and throw on a bright colored top or accessory. It usually turns my day right around! A great top like this would do wonders on days like that! Plus that simple lamp would go great at my desk!

  181. I manage to get myself through winter by thinking about Spring. This combination has such beautiful soft colors and something about ruffles always makes me think of dressing up for Easter. If that doesn’t warm me up and put a spring in my step, than I don’t know what would!

  182. My sewing studio doesn’t have a central light-source, so I could use a new lamp to brighten my work! I am working on a new skirt that would go perfectly with that blouse. Voila! It was meant to be!

  183. The dressy yet professional blouse would be awesome for job interviews as I have been out of work for awhile and can’t really afford new interview clothes. Clothes can give you that extra confidence to stand out. The lamp is a great design I could give to my sister for letting me live with her and her family while I job search!

  184. both are perfect winter whites! the lamp would look great in my (mostly white) home office and the ivory color of the top would compliment my fair skin!

  186. I would gift the blouse to my wonderful friend who recently had a baby because every new mom deserves something pretty! And I would use that awesome lamp to add some style to my desk at home.

  187. Moving into a new apartment soon, after my fiance and I are married. It would be pretty great to have that lamp for our new living room and that blouse for my closet.

  188. I consider myself very lucky to be a graduate student on a monthly stipend, but it doesn’t leave much room for indulging on luxury items (like this blouse and lamp). Winning this giveaway would be a wonderful surprise. Your taste is so refined I always love checking your blog between studying!

  189. The blouse would brighten up my dreary commute to work everyday and the lamp would add some much needed light and color to my home office!

  190. the blouse is just perfect! I love the pleats. and the lamp would brighten my living room – it’s so pretty!

  191. Nothing like a crisp, pleated white bone china shade and cozy covered cord to make me think of paperwhites, tea time and spring in the dead of winter. I can imagine myself sipping a fresh cup of rose and mint tisane while wearing that lovely spring-like pleated chambray skirt, illuminated by this clean, simple lamp. It reminds me of the year I spent in Oxford. Choose me!

  192. I’m decorating my new apartment and the lamp would look great on my desk! Also, the blouse is adorable and would add a nice touch to my winter wardrobe.

  202. I think we have had more snow days than school days so far this year! I would take very kindly to any brightening, especially of the adorable, pleated kind 🙂

  203. First of all, anything from the lovely EmersonMade would brighten my day, but this shirt may be my favorite thing from the new Spring Collection! I just moved into my new apartment a few months ago, and am still in desperate need of pieces like this lamp to really give my little nest some extra oomph! What a fantastic giveaway! Thanks!

  204. i require a lovely top that will illuminate my days ahead, and a lamp so i can do my law school readings 🙁

  205. I have been coveting that blouse from EM. There is a great seersucker version too as I’m sure you know.
Also, recently, I’ve been forced to give up half my closet to share with my fiance after my sister moved into our second bedroom. She’s in school and we live four blocks away. She has no way to pay us any rent, not that we asked for any. We just shuttled my fiance’s clothes into my closet and I pulled a clunky dresser out from hiding in my closet, painted it up a bit, and turned the top into a vanity station. I would love the lamp to brighten that area up now that I sit there [on a medicine ball…] to do my makeup in the morning.

  206. What beautiful pieces! Both would be great for making a February day at the office a lot more pleasant…

  207. The blouse would bring some much needed light to my usual winter greys and blacks. The lamp would go perfectly on my nightstand to better illuminate my bedtime reading. Xoxo

  208. I just bought my first home (yay!!) and have been looking for ways to decorate, this lamp would be a delicious addition. As for the blouse, anything cream makes the winter more bearable and that top is absolutely lovely!

  209. love Emersonmade and LOVE the color. I have such a hard time finding blouses that I can dress both up and down. As for the lamp– we are moving and need lighting and what a great way to start! : )

  210. This pair would brighten up my day because they both remind me of the ridges in cupcake cups. The little lamp would sweetly light my drawing on a cold rainy night and the blouse would gently boost my confidence on a dreary rainy day such as this one ^_^!

  211. Even though I live in LA, my apartment is sadly empty of light. That lamp would certainly brighten up my bedroom! And I just added pleats to my “to buy” clothes shopping list for spring. Bright and lovely indeed!

  212. I, too, live in Silver Lake, and this top is perfect for our year round beautiful weather. For when the sun goes beyond the ocean, the lamp would fit perfectly on my desk.

  213. I just moved to a new city. This blouse would be adorable on a job interview and this lamp would brighten my new digs!

  214. ooooooh me, me, me please!!!

    & who wouldn’t want a matching lamp?!
    -ll

  215. This lovely lamp would brighten my bedside table for reading at night. The blouse would also brighten my rainy + gray Portland winter.

  216. i die frequently over the amazing-ness of emersonmade. and that lamp? it would look lovely in my home office. (i’m about to start working out of there full time. so it needs to be cute). and winter around here has been SO gloomy.

  217. my *thrifty* husband will let me put that lamp on his desk if i can tell him i got it for free! and i’m in grad school – the top would be perfect to wear to my internship!

  218. I needed a bedroom lamp 3 months ago! Still on my list of things to get in my new, cute place and this one would be divine 🙂 And that top?! Well, it’s pleated… ‘nuf said!

  219. About a year ago, I found Emerson Made on line and fell in love with their style; I made a promise to buy myself something from them as soon as my finances would allow. Next thing I knew I had to replace the operating system on my computer and had lost Emerson Made’s bookmark in my system, and could not- for the life of me- remember their name! I was despondent but knew that if I kept searching, somehow I would find them again. To be able to win the lamp (which I desperately need in my office) and the beautiful blouse, would be a simple daily reminder to keep faith in the goodness of simple, beautiful things, and to never stop looking- because you always find what you need when your heart and mind are open!

  220. These items are wonderful and so light and fresh. We have had such a rough winter and the beauty of this blouse and lamp would surely help!

  225. I’ve been a big emersonmade fan for a while and now I’ve become a gretel fan too. Both items are so lovely and feminine. Both would brighten up my days as a stressed out college student!

  226. Wow, I would love to win both!! The EmersonMade shirt would brighten up my black and gray wardrobe, and the lamp would ease my tired eyes in my fluorescent lit office.

  227. Everything is in the details. Beautiful tailoring is always a nice hello when uncovering fashion under all those winter layers. Unexpected materials add a human touch to hard materials making any home a pleasure to come to from the cold air.

  228. nothing makes me happier than pleating and pale pink! would add a dash of sparkle to my winter!

  229. Both the blouse and the lamp would help bring spring into the cold, cold winter I am having. Snow is pretty but after getting so much of it I really can’t wait for spring to come! And the pleats on the lamp and blouse are too cute 🙂

  230. My winter doesn’t really need brightening, as it is 72 and gorgeous in Phoenix. But I would appreciate both of these adorable items. The blouse could be seamlessly incorporated into my work wardrobe, and that lamp is perfect for my desk space!

  231. Love both items! Especially the lamp, which reminds me of a coffee filter and triggers this association: coffee filter–>warm beverages–>not cold anymore.

I would love to have the blouse to complete a first day outfit that made me feel stylist and confident. And the lamp would be perfect for my desk at home, well for the desk I still need to buy and assemble.

  243. Whenever I think of pleats, I think of that funny line from the Anchorman…perhaps to racy to share here. Let’s just say, let it shine!

  244. I think every girl right now is looking for a way to feel pretty and cozy despite grey skies and chilly temps–this looks like just the ticket.

  245. Pretty pleats, pretty please! I adore both the blouse and the lamp. They’d certainly add some much needed cheer in the upcoming months while I finish up my PhD thesis!

  457. I have a three month old and have to go back to work February 7. I think this would brighten my winter and my mood!

  458. Oh my. What a lovelylovely giveaway.
I would put this lamp in the dark corner of my den and it would light up the room just like my smile will light up my face when I am wearing that amazing top.

  459. The pleated blouse and gray skirt will make me shine in this Valentines day! I’m sure my husband would love to see me on that, and its time for my lonely table to have some company: that beautiful lamp! I’m already imagining how it perfectly fits!

  460. What a sweet top! The color and ruffle collar are so reminiscent of spring, how could it not brighten up the winter! And the shade and shape of that lamp is so clean… makes me want to start me spring cleaning NOW!

  461. The blouse is so sweet! I would love to wear it in winter AND spring. It would carry me through the harsh midwest winter! And I know just where I would put the lamp, the soft light in the pleats would look awesome against my gray paint! Cheers for offering both!

  462. We have light that comes into our home (obviously), but our shotgun-style cabana is angled in such a way that there is no direct light flowing in. Bummer. The dainty light would help that, especially since I work and photograph at home. Also, the last time I bought clothes for myself was probably 2006. I should get on that…
    Cheers,
    *Heather*

  463. these would make things a lot happier around here! we are buried in a new england winter with little opportunity to wear something pretty, and also we have a new house that has very little in it, much less beautiful lamps. lovely giveaway!

  464. I love the sweet pleats and soft colors of both the lamp and the shirt – they would add a perfect dash sweetness and softness to winter-almost-spring-time!

  465. The softest of pale tones reminds me that Spring is right around the corner. If I patiently wait and enjoy crisp sunny days this winter, Spring will be that much sweeter.

  466. I just had a baby girl and desperately need to freshen up my wardrobe. This would be a lovely shirt to wear on my first night out alone with the hubs!
Sitting on my desk is a silver lamp that I saved from the dumpster when my office was downsizing. It has nice old school lines, but it is a pain to turn on and its elbow springs are loose. A new lamp would be lovely.

  467. The lovely little blouse would put some spring in my day, and the lamp would help brighten my dreary apartment!

  468. I live in a gloomy college dorm, so this lamp would definitely light up my life. And with better grades from studying under this light I will have time to wear that beautiful top and go outside to have some fun!

  469. I”d kill for that lamp. seriously need a major brightening moment as we are being dumped with so much freaking snow here in NY 🙁

  470. Emerson + pretty task lighting = me, dressed and lit glamorously for a busy [but infinitely happier] January day in work-at-home solitude.

  471. love. love. love. the lamp is just effortlessly chic. every detail down to the the cord was thought-out and carefully considered. i’ve been on gretel’s site a few times and never noticed the lamp until now – how did i miss it?! 🙂

  472. we’re looking for the perfect small lamp to place on the piano so my husband can actually read his music! And that blouse is just to die for.

  473. The lamp would look so cute in my new white office! And the blouse is so gorgeoous both in color and details! It would be great for spring!

  474. I just moved this winter and realized I have NO lamps of any kind anymore…and I need one! And that shirt is absolutely lovely…wearable casually or on a classy, winter date night 🙂

What a wonderfully perfect giveaway, thanks for the chance to win!

  483. EmersonMade – both her clothing and her sassy attitude – can brighten any cold winter day! Add a cool lamp and wow, it’s like summer in the wintertime!

  484. Hi Joy,
As I sit in my office and type this, there is a white out snow storm blasting the streets of Philadelphia. This lovely feminine top would remind me that warmer days are ahead. Not to mention that the lamp looks just divine. I have been remodeling my home for the past few weeks, and could use some soft lighting.
    Best,
    Alison

  485. Oh, EmersonMade how I love thee,
    let me count the ways.
    Your gold coin necklaces and
    tuxedo jacket warrant endless praise.
What better way to leave the house
Than in this soft and peachy blouse?
And oh, how lovely that lamp would look
Upon my desk in its little nook
    Keeping me from turning on
The flourescent lights I wish were gone
I’m afraid I just cannot settle
On anything less lovely than this piece from Gretel.
What better way to light up the season
Than with this duo that’s just so pleasin’?

  486. Well this would certainly brighten my winter! I never have much luck winning things, so that alone would be pretty exciting! And to get such a pretty blouse and lamp! UGH! It would be perfection!

  487. i read oh joy to brighten up my winter – i live in the midwest where we get this lovely blanket of gray from late november until springtime, so it is DARK over here!
emersonmade is so happy and cheerful – if she can’t make the winter seem brighter i’m not sure what could – if you want to get literal, the (stunning) Gretel hector lamp would definitely do the trick!

  488. THAT shirt would brighten my winter just by allowing me to be my lovely self (also it will look fantastic with a pair of boots i just purchased). And the lamp would make reading in bed that much more delightful 🙂

  496. These items are amazing! The blouse would brighten up my very dark winter wardrobe, and the lamp would be a nice change from the harsh florescent lighting of my office. Thanks!

  497. Oh my! What a darling pairing! Given the freeeeezing Philly winter weather, this darling blouse and its adorable tiny pleats would bring much needed cheer and light to my closet and wardrobe, while the lamp would fill dark days with soft light- just what my living room needs right now! Crossing my fingers that these two treasures make it to my home in Philly! xo

  498. I am getting awfully sad and grumpy as winter here in Washington DC keeps getting worse. I’ve been lusting after Emerson Made clothing for awhile now– and I love the pleats and pale pink of both the lamp and the blouse! {fingers crossed}

  499. This paring works so well together! I love that it’s minimalist but interesting and beautiful. I’d be happy to wear the pretty blouse to work and I’d curl up with a book under the light to read after a long day.
    I’m also loving EmersonMade’s new spring dresses~

  500. Such a beautiful combo! I’m going to Greece in April and that blouse will be a reminder of the warmth to come.

  501. I work at an architecture firm in the basement of a 100+ year old church. Light and cozy would definitely brighten up my little corner space!

  502. Limited overhead lighting and a big tree blocking my window makes my apt pretty sad in the winter. The lamp and the blouse would add a little happiness!

  503. The blouse is such a soft whisper of spring’s coming and the lamp would provide some much needed light therapy to brighten up my dark, winter days.

  504. I’d put the lamp by my bed for reading and I’d love that top to wear to work (I looooooove everything at emersonmade!)

  505. I live in Minnesota and right now it seems like winter will never end. Right now, I’m totally drawn to beautiful lights and lots of spring colors! This pairing would definitely help get me through the remaining winter months…

  506. i live in boston where we are seeing our third big snowstorm this year and things could not look any more despondent! i miss the sunshine and brightness and both of these things could bring a bit of it to me in this grey, parka weather.

  507. OH, this would SO brighten up my winter! I had one of those mornings today where I just hated everything in my closet. Ugh! This top would certainly brighten THAT up and as a crafter, I’m always looking for great lighting that actually LOOKS cute!!! And…with several feet of snow still covering my yard…my winter needs brightening! HA!

  508. oh my goodness, I love all of these items! I am planning a trip to Italy and France this summer and I think this lovely outfit would be perfect to take along! And that lamp…it would go in the studio space I am creating this weekend! So long guest room!

  509. I’m all about the pretty, girly pleated shirt. Love it! I could totally use a new desk lamp too..mine is from target and more about function than design…this one is great!

  517. Love love love! How could these two beautiful pieces not warm your heart and brighten your day? If I must endure another few months of cold and lack of vitamin d, I’d happily do so with that sweet little lamp and cozy pleated blouse.

  518. OH my! What a lovely giveaway. I’ve love EmersonMade for so long, I would love to own a piece. And that lamp-splendid!

  519. Both are lovely… the pale shades remind me of a winter sunrise over the snow. (The snowier it is, of course, the less you need anything to brighten your day — the sun’s reflections become almost blinding during the day and you can still ski by moonlight.)

  520. The lamp and the blouse are absolutely beautiful… I’ve been on the search for a new desk lamp to shine some light onto my lamp-less desk. And the blouse would be a lovely addition to my, “I haven’t shopped this entire winter” collection in my closet. (:
    eee.

  521. I work from home, and am in desperate need of a new lamp and something to get me out of my sweats. These two go SO well together and would look lovely on/next to my sofa.

  523. The outfit reminds me of spring, which always makes me happy. Yet, it looks like it’s warm enough to wear during a mild winter’s day. 🙂 The lamp is simple and elegant and would fit well with any decor.

  524. I recently discovered that pleats compliment the hell out of me. This was after purchasing that polka dot dress by alexa chung at madewell. also been looking for a nice simple but not boring desk lamp. Hope I win these pleated goodies!

  525. Man, all of E.M.’s things are great. This shirt is up there at the top of her best stuff to date. Love the lamp too, have the perfect spot for it.

  526. This Emerson blouse would brighten my winter because my wardrobe is looking a little dull lately. And that Gretel lamp would brighten my winter by replacing the drab brown lamp that is by my favorite reading spot.

  527. That’s the perfect pair! I love Winter but sometimes it just lasts a little too long. The pretty blouse would give me reason to feel fancy enough to want to get out of the house (blast all the rain!) but the light would make staying inside cozy, without the dreary.

  528. You had me at “blouse” … a much more elegant & satisfying moniker than “shirt.” Suddenly I’m not Amanda … I’m Miss Meeker, and I might even be going on a date with Carry Grant. That would certainly brighten up my winter!

  529. These are both beautiful items. My husband and I recently moved into our first home together and will be actually buying items (furniture, lamps, etc.) for the first time in our lives. We’ve always relied on other people’s cast-offs, so it would be nice to kick it off with such a pretty lamp. And the shirt, I like pretty things for myself but will have to cut back a lot if we plan on ever furnishing this home!

  530. I’m so ready for spring…but in Chicago, that sometimes means waiting until June. Would love these light and airy pieces to appreciate (at least for now) indoors.

  534. Having just graduated, I’m both updating my wardrobe to be professional and beautiful and ME… and I’m starting to sell my beautiful jewelry. I was just thinking the other day how helpful it would be to have a brighter light to photograph my work with (there are no overhead lights in my apt., and I’ve only got one little floor lamp in the corner of each room). I was going to go to Target… you know the whole recent-grad/poor thing. But this would be awesome and gorgeous!
Yeah, I could use both so much….

  535. This is so gorgeous! Winning would definitely brighten my winter- I need something positive to happen in my life right now!

  540. I work in a very male-dominated office, and by male-dominated I mean that I am the ONLY woman. I am always on the lookout for items that feel feminine, yet professional enough that the guys can’t make fun of me too much (not that I wouldn’t dish it back to them)!
I immediately thought that this pair would be perfect to brighten up my winter 🙂

  541. I would love to wear that blouse to a job interview since I am graduating in May…and then be hard at work by the light of that beautiful lamp!

  544. I love the pleated details on both the blouse and the lamp’s shade! The blouse is beautiful and the color is a perfect reminder of Spring. The lamp would be a wonderful companion to a good book and a cozy blanket.

  545. I would love a little more light on my sewing table and the blouse looks like fun to wear in these darker days!

  546. The brightness of the lamp would definitely improve my overcast winter in Portland, and the shirt, oh the shirt! I’d wear it all the time. I love the clothes at EM, they are just beautiful and simple.

  547. what can i say… pleats make me smile. and a beautiful lamp would make me glow-literally! okay, maybe not but it would definitely brighten my dark apartment.

  558. I’m a full time students with a part time job and that blouse would be lovely to wear to work, and the lamp would be great to study by!

  559. I live in Boston and we’re in the midst of our 4th Nor’easter. Even if I can’t leave my house because of the knee high snow, I can curl up with a book under this beautiful lamp while wearing that gorgeous blouse – even if no one else sees it!

  560. This cute blouse makes me think of high-waisted skirts, so I’d probably be tempted to dress non-weather-appropriate. That little lamp looks like the perfect addition for a reading nook on a chilly night.

  608. My husband and I have been searching for a lamp and this would be such a perfect fit, also having that blouse would be lovely treasure!

  609. I have always had a strong aversion to overhead lights and therefore have developed a minor obsession with lamps. This one, with its cream color and beautiful pleats, would be an instant upgrade to the one currently perched on my desk. And the shirt would look great in my wardrobe now, layered under cardigans, and would be a great standout piece once the weather gets warm.

  610. The skirt is darling and makes me think of spring! And what better way to spend some January and February chilly nights than tucked inside reading a book by the cozy lamp!

  611. My winter is rushed and hectic – the great pleating details on both the shirt and the lamp would be nice reminders to enjoy the little things despite my busy schedule!

  612. Ahh! The color of these makes me feel like I can just smell the honeysuckle outside! I’m so over winter..

  613. I will be finally moving out of my college apartment when I graduate in May! I would love to decorate my new place with the Hector pleated lamp from Gretel!

  614. oops, I thought we had to choose between the two! my lucky day (hopefully!).
I would love to decorate my first post-graduation apartment with the Hector pleated lamp from Gretel and wow my new co-workers when I walk into work on the first day wearing the lovely EmersonMade pleated blouse!

  615. i’m in love with that lamp
and who could ever say no to pleats
I have one too many dry clean only pleated skirts
but they are well worth it

  616. That lamp would be great on my new office..I just redecorated a room to be my new office. and that blouse would be perfect for me in a few months after I give birth to my baby boy. Mama needs a new cute blouse. 🙂

  617. I recently got back to Massachusetts from much nicer weather, am in college, and have a very distressing, stressful, and cold semester ahead of me. A beautiful lamp would help me study and brighten my boring college dorm room. And the blouse is just gorgeous :)The lamp and blouse would help me get through the dreary months ahead of me. . .

  618. with all of the snow that we’ve had in the east, these two items would definitely make my winter a little brighter! the blouse would put me in mind of sunny days spent outside, sipping a latte and reading a book. the light would help brighten up my somewhat stark apartment… all the black and white needs some warming!
