Who Stephanie Shih, food+travel photographer, dessert designer & blogger
Where Palo Alto, California
Time 1:30 pm
What's a typical lunch for you? I commute all around for work, so lunch is usually somewhere on the road! Luckily, the Bay Area is ripe with wonderful lunchtime choices, and my favorites include a variety of sandwich-soup-salad cafes, cheap but delicious Japanese hole-in-the-walls, California-Mexican burrito stands, and college curry and naan joints with all-you-can-drink chai tea. Today's lunch is a roasted tomato soup with citrus salad from University Cafe.
What's your dream/ideal lunch? Enjoying sushi and sashimi while sitting by the waterfront on a spring day somewhere on the Mediterranean. Top that off with an ice cold raspberry-lemon tea and followed by many, many scoops of gelato. And accompanied by my favorite people – that's a must!
Dessert with lunch? Usually with mid-afternoon coffee or a late afternoon tea.
Thanks Stephanie!
