happy friday + hello from lyon…

What do you do when you're in France? Eat baguettes the length of your body, that's what! We're enjoying the sights, sounds, tastes, and playgrounds of Lyon this week and head back to Paris tomorrow for the rest of our trip. I've been trying to Instagram here and there when I can, but I'll share more photos and adventures from our trip when we return.

Have a great weekend!

  1. That second pic is too cute for words! I was in France this year, and I’m pretty sure I made the same face when biting into a baguette!

  2. ruby with the baguette!!! I’m a super bread lover, and have been dreaming of going to france and eating baguettes all day every day! hope you’re having a great time 🙂

  3. Hahahaha this is SO awesome. She’s as big as the bread! I can’t believe she’ll be 2 soon. When I first met her she was still in the oven!

  4. i absolutely LOVE both these photos!!!!! she is way too cute, have an amazing time! Love that Ruby is living it up just as much as you guys are.

  5. Uhhh, yah. That’s what I’d do too. I’m gluten free for the most part but if I were in France, I’d be scarfing down that delicious bread!

  6. Here’s the thing. I was raised with the strict instructions that walking & eating food in the street was a bit of a no-no (except if you were at a Carnival munching on cottoncandy etc)..
…but now that I live in France, everyone walks and eats their baguettes on the way home. And i love it….I’ve adapted accordingly 🙂
    Your daughter is beyond adorable.

  7. She is so cute. Hope you enjoyed staying in Lyon. We do enjoy living here and it is great to have our city known around teh world.
You know the best thing about baguette : even being french you still enjoy eating them. We have a boulangerie 50 meters from home and we do enjoy with my little one when they are still hot!!! So yummy.
Have a nice stay in Paris

  8. Aaahhh Lyon! La capitale de la gastronomie française! I really love walking in the city in that early Autumn phase. Enjoy the food and the pedestrian bridges.

  9. I just discovered your blog Joy and came across this post. Your daughter has got to be the cutest thing ever! And I’m pretty sure that the bottom picture is what I would be doing in France too. Her face is basically expressing how I feel about bread. Ruby is my kind of girl!
