You guys…there's a secret project I've been working on since last year that I can finally reveal to you! I have an entertaining and party collection for Target coming out next month—March 16th to be exact. It has been a dream of mine to have Oh Joy product in Target stores, and I am kicking myself that dream is coming true.

There will be four Oh Joy for Target collections this year—Spring, Summer, Fall and Holiday—each in stores for six weeks only. All of the collections have a ton of color, shots of gold (my favorite neutral), and allow you to mix and match patterns easily. I designed what I would want to use for a party and what I'd need to make it look super special and fun without having to spend the time making decorations from scratch. The first collection for spring is inspired by a garden party and all of the items you can use to create, decorate, serve food, and entertain easily, beautifully, whimsically. It includes paper plates, paper napkins, paper cups, melamine cups and trays, party hats and horns, balloons, wall decals and decor, serve ware, and more…

This project has been amazing to work on, and I'll be sure share more about the process over the course of this year. We'll be revealing more photos, videos, behind-the-scenes peeks, the launch party, and of course the other collections as it gets closer!

Mark your calendars for March 16th for my spring Oh Joy for Garden Party collection! You can see more images from the collection right here on Pinterest. Also, check out this super cute video below about the pinner collaboration with my fellow designers/bloggers/pinners, Poppytalk (coming in June) and Wit & Delight (coming in September) that I'm thrilled to be a part of…

Do you know if the items will be available in Canada as well?

  2. I saw this first on Target’s pinterest this morning and thought it looked like your style – turns out it was! Congrats and thanks for creating such beautiful things!

  3. Awesome! I want to buy everything! This is such a genius idea since there are so many people (like myself) who love this cute pinterest-y stuff but don’t have a single crafty bone in our body.

  4. Congratulations!! I wish we had Target over here in the UK, we don’t really have anything similar and i’m always seeing some bargain buys from other bloggers from there. xx

  5. SOOO Happy for you! Your collection is so fun and creative. Can’t wait for your collection to hit stores so I can start party planning!!

  9. Congrats, Joy! What a pleasure it’s been to watch how all your hustle and integrity has continued to pay off and expand your universe over the last few years, in business and in life. So deserved!

  16. Oh my goodness, congratulations, Joy! That is so exciting and it’s going to be so cool to go to Target and see one of my creative inspirations with her own line. Seriously, you’re even more of a celeb now! 🙂 Congrats again!

  17. Congratulations! So nice to see your dreams come true. We have a brand new Target opening 5 mins from my home around that date plus it’s my birthday and now I get to shop for your awesome new line! Can life be any sweeter?

  18. Congratulations! I think I’ll have to buy decorations just have—whether I’m planning a party or not, they look sweet and happy!

  19. yeah, congrats. everything looks amazing. love the colors and everything.
now i only wish we had target over here in germany and your collection would be available here too. so sad.

  20. Fantastic, and how great that must feel for you! I loved the ad, pinners to parties. I’ll be sure to look for your stuff at Target upon its release.

  21. Joy, huge congratulations 🙂 This is really exciting news for you and I’m really happy your work is paying off 🙂 One thing, though – I connect your aesthetic with lots of pattern, and this doesn’t seem to be as “Oh Joy” as the impression I have of your brand. The colors are lots of fun (and I did not notice the paint-dot pattern), but it does seem more generic than you normally go. If Target scaled back on the patterns because they weren’t sure about the sell-ability of your style, I hope this offering is super popular so that you have more artistic freedom for the future! And if you are 110% happy with the collection, please ignore everything I said and enjoy the glow. Sending you + the family warm thoughts 🙂

  22. Hi Anastasia,
The Target here in the US and Canada is different than the Target in Australia so it wont be there unfortunately ;(
    Thank you!
    Joy

  23. the biggest congrats to you joy! i see this as a huge win for the indie design community and it couldn’t have gone to a more deserving, generous and truly talented group of designers / bloggers 🙂 keep on rockin it.

  25. Oh my golly! I am over the moon excited about this! I Love Target, and I LOVE Oh Joy! So… This could not be more perfect! Congratulations Joy, you more than deserve this!

  26. Aw these are so fun!! i LOVE them. I’m just really sad that they wont’ come out until March 16th a day AFTER i’m throwing my friend her babyshower. such a shame!!! 🙁

  27. Oh Joy! indeed! I don’t think I could be happier or more excited for you! It’s a perfectly natural fit for both brands and I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it was to keep it a secret. What a dream come true for so many designers. Just another reason you continue to be an inspiration. Congratulations! Can’t wait to hear more about it all!

  28. Thank you SO much everyone for your kindness, support and excitement! It means the world to me! I have read every single one of your comments, tweets, emails and messages and thank you from the bottom of my heart!
    xo,
    Joy

  29. Joy, am so excited for you. Have followed your blog since its inception nearly 9 years ago and you have always had ‘that eye’. Fantastic to see such success.

  30. Can’t wait! Just wondering, is everything plastic or are there ceramic/glass pieces too? Wondering about the washability/reusability of everything, because I will definitely be heading to Target that day!

  31. Hi Nicole!
Its a mix of paper and melamine for this first collection. So all the non-paper serveware is washable and reusable! There will be some ceramic pieces coming in the fall too 😉
    Joy

  32. I am beyond excited to see your products at my local Target!! Congratulations on your well deserved success!!!!
