ruby’s 4th birthday party!

Oh Joy / Ruby's 4th Birthday

Oh Joy / Ruby's 4th Birthday

Today, my sassy and spunky Ruby turns four. Over the weekend, we celebrated with a small party at a local dance school where the kids learned some fun hip hop ballet moves and shook their booties to T.Swift, Justin Bieber, and Meghan Trainor. It was pretty cute to watch…

We sectioned off small area for tables that I could decorate with the fruity decor I put together for Ruby's birthday theme this year. Luckily, the dance school had these cute little tables so I added some easy fruity poufs, paper plates and cups, and some party fringe to the backs of the chairs. We've had all of Ruby's past parties at publics parks, so the nice thing about having it at a place that hosts birthday parties this year was I didn't have to decorate a huge area and it involved a lot less work on my part to keep the kids entertained.

Ruby and her friends dancing, jumped, and bopped their heads for almost two hours (with some snacks and cake mixed in there). Miss Reyana was the best and had limitless energy to keep these kids twirling and jamming.

Even though Coco couldn't dance, she had the best time watching the big kids do their thing!

I also took photos with our Instax camera and gave each kid a photo of themselves dancing to take home in addition to their party favors. Ruby had a blast celebrating with her homies and fell asleep within minutes that night! (Success!). And, today, for her actual birthday Bob and I took the day off from work to take her to DISNEYLAND! She's never been so it should be an exciting day for all 😉

  1. Joy, i love the b’day theme & decor. Needless to say all of you look adorable. Happy B’day to Ruby once again. Looks like the party was real fun. How cute is Coco’s dress. Enjoy Disneyland. Can’t wait to hear what you think of the place 🙂

  2. What a cute party! The paper fruit is perfection and I kind of want that for my birthday party!
Even more adorable is Ruby in her little tutu! She is growing up to be such a pretty and vibrant little girl. It’s so sweet to watch your kids grow up.

  3. This is the perfect party idea for a little girl! I mean, who doesn’t love shaking their tail feathers to a little T. Swift? Looks like everyone had a great time and I love the idea of having Instax pics as additional take home gifts!

  4. What a sweet birthday party girl party! Thank you for sharing your little cuties with us. I’m a mom with two boys so I’m living vicariously through you and my girl mom friends. Happy Birthday Ruby!
