Wide Eyed collection

Wide Eyed collection

Reading a bedtime story with Coco and Ruby every night before they go to bed for the night is the best part of my day. While we love classic books, I love exposing them to the world with all of the amazing art and lessons that books have these days. The Wide Eyed collection has some of the most stylish and nicely illustrated children's books I have ever seen. So today, we've partnered with Quarto Publishing to give away 20 books from their Wide Eyed collection to one lucky reader! That's approximately a $450 value—hello Christmas shopping list done!

Wide Eyed collection

To enter, visit the Wide Eyed collection. Then, leave a comment here telling me your favorite book (I love the Hello Atlas and Illuminature) and who you would give them to! Entries close this Friday, October 28th at 8am PST and one winner will be chosen at random.* Good luck!

UPDATE: Congrats to Kristen W. from Rosemead, CA for being our winner this time!

He not only loves reading, but is always up for an adventure and the books would be a fabulous addition to our nightly reading!

My kids would definitely enjoy reading “What Do Grownups Do All Day?.” With my oldest being in Kindergarten, we are all about spotting sight words and building his reading vocabulary. 263. These books look amazing! My little would be into the Traffic Jam Puzzle Book and my new phew so would love Day of the Dinosaurs . Thanks for opportunity to win 🙂 on

  264. My favorite book is The 50 States Fun Facts. I would give these to my fifth grade class. They are curious readers currently learning about the 50 states and could benefit from these beautifully designed texts (especially since we are short resources).

  265. I would love to buy every last one of them for my two boys. As a family we are obsessed with books and would love to give more a very good home. Atlas of Adventure and Diary of a Time Traveller are both sitting on my wish list and I would love to give them to my little guys.

To narrow down I think the City & Hello Atlas books and the Pattern-tastic Treasure Hunt (Technicolor, too ?). If I win, I would probably give her one now and do my best to save the rest for Christmas and her Birthday (January) & a few for Christmas gifts for her cousins. Thanks for the opportunity!

  283. Oops. My phone went wonky. I see it’s a reply instead of sepeatate. Eeek. Sorry about that.

  284. Illuminature is THE perfect book that will be a great addition to my classroom library for my lovely 3/4 year olds! We love reading about anything that is found in nature.

  285. All of those titles look awesome! My son loves to read books day and night…as tired as I am sometimes when he wants to read several books at night, I tell myself to enjoy this while it lasts. Our favorite book right now is an alphabet book, he traces the letters and knows almost all their names now!

  286. We saw The 50 States in small shop in our town and my son immediately wanted to take it home, so it would be fun to surprise him with it.

  287. So fun! My son would love the Creaturpedia one! And the 50 States is so cute. Looks like I’d be learning a lot from these books! 😉

  299. I love Natural World! I think my niece would love exploring outside with inspiration from the book!

  300. This is probably the coolest giveaway I’ve seen. I’m passionate about inspiring kids to love learning. My brother and his wife are having the first baby on both sides of the family. We are so excited about having a little baby girl to spoil like crazy. My husband and I are both in grad school and we more or less live paycheck to paycheck. While our lack of money isn’t going to last forever, we aren’t going to be able to buy any Christmas gifts or baby gifts this year, because we won’t be making a real income until after we graduate. I would love to be able to give my niece a quality gift. I want my husband and I to be the “book worm” aunt and uncle. Destination Space caught my eye, because I want my niece to be inspired from a young age to be interested in STEM fields. I know that sounds a bit strange, but she hasn’t even been born yet and I already dream of her working for NASA one day. If I don’t win the giveaway I will still buy the book after I graduate, but it would be so nice to be able to give them a gift in March when the baby is born!

  301. Love the Hello Atlas and City Atlas! We have our firstborn coming due next January and I’d love to keep some of them for him, and would also want to share some of the wealth with some of our local nonprofit organizations to help support learning with underprivileged children in our neighboring cities.

  307. What a wonderful contest! These books inspire such imagination – what kid wouldn’t love to get lost in them. It’s hard to narrow down it down to one favorite, but I think “Diary of a Time Traveler” looks amazing. I would give these books to my 9 mo old baby. It’s never to early to instill a love of reading. 323. I love all of them but I think my daughter would love “the school of art” she loves to draw and anything that has step by step lessons.

  324. Our favorite is Natures Day! If we were to win we would donate the books to Nemours Children’s Hospital. Our 15 month old was recently diagnosed with Epilespy and has received treatment there. The hospital is a dream! We are currently working with Nemours to do a drive for Christmas and these would be perfect for all the children!

  325. Illuminature is a beautiful book, and I would love to gift these to my newborn, and then gift them to friends afterwards.

I would give some to my daughter Violet, and some to my boyfriend’s daughter Saffron, who also loves to read. I would be happy gifting these books at children’s birthday parties, as well. So lovely. How exciting! Thank you for the opportunity, Oh Joy and Quarto Publishing! What a treat!

  342. I would get the traffic jam puzzle book for my little puzzle lover two year old son. I have a couple of these books already but want them all!!

  343. Hi there!
My favorite book has to be Destination Space. Adventures beyond our tiny world and a wider understanding of where things came from is an exhilarating lesson to teach (and keep learning for ourselves!). I would give any of these lovely books to my cousins’ kiddos. I have 3 little ones that live nearby (soon to be 4!) and would totally use this as an excuse to read to them more often.
    Cheers,
    Katy

  356. I love the treasure hunt books and would love to gift them to my daughter, but also would enjoy discovering some of the others and sharing with her cousins!!

  357. Wow! Gorgeous books! I’m a wildlife biologist, so I’m partial to the nature themes — The Natural World curiositree book looks particularly spectacular!

  358. These books would fill a big need for my son and daughter-in-law who are home-schooling their kids. They are not close to a library and work hard to find their own resources. The 50-state books looks fun for both of them. I imagine the Natural World would have be the favorite and have the most lasting value.

  359. I loved US state fact books as a child so the 50 States books are definitely catching my eye! I think my girls would love them too! Fun giveaway, Joy!

  360. So many good books! I think I’d go with The 50 States. We have placemats for our kids that show the map of the USA (I put their gummy vitamins on different states each day) and they seem to be really into learning what each state is all about.

  376. Wow never seen this collection. I have some little boys who would love Day of the Dinosaurs. So many good colors.

  377. AHH! The Hello Atlas by Hendicott is exactly what I look for in books to share in my Montessori classroom. Sorry for the shameless teacher plug – ugh ?! A good reminder of the universal child and that “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” The best for the smallest!!! Also selfishly the illustrations are adorable, and a fun read for adults too ?!

  378. I love the One Thousand Things book! ‘My daughter would love the pages full of little things to find. We’d share with her cousin!

  379. I would give Traffic Jam to my son, Leo because he loves vehicles of all kinds and is super into puzzles now that’s he’s hit 2.

  384. it is so hard to pick just one favorite — i can’t choose between ‘the color garden’ and ‘what do grown-ups do all day’!! i love children’s books, so i’d almost want to keep them all for myself, but my family does a lot of work with a literacy non-profit and they always need donations of good books. they need books to keep in the classrooms while the kids read, and they also do once-a-month book selections where the students each get a book to take home with them. it would be nice to add a little variety to those! i’m also about to be an aunt for the first time, and i might save just one book for my sweet niece <3

  385. I’d pick Nature’s Day for sure! I’m always out exploring with my little one. We stop and talk about the leaves we find, collect feathers and acorns, and try to spot insects. Having a beautifully-illustrated book to go along with our mini-adventures would be fantastic.

  386. The Hello Atlas. My 2 YO has a giant world map on his bedroom wall, we would read Hello Atlas and point to places on his map!

I love that these books are non-fiction and engaging with beautiful pictures. All too often it seems non-fiction kids books are a little bland. These look amazing. This would be a dream to win since I’ve been spending $$$ on books and things for our home classroom. I love the Hello Atlas and my son is OBSESSED with dinosaurs right now so the Day of the Dinosaurs would be a major hit with him.
I’d love to gift some to my boys and my niece and newphews as well!

  392. My nephew added “50 States” to his wish list. Its a beautiful book and I was planning on buying it for him. So,he would definitely be the recipient.
I also love Little Atlas for my toddler , who is my new travel buddy.

  393. I have young grandchildren that live overseas and finding good children’s books in English is a challenge! The Hello Atlas would be perfect for them because they love learning about other cultures and languages. They would also love the Atlas of Animal Adventures because what child isn’t fascinated with living creatures?

  394. I love these books! I would definitely add a few of these to my toddlers collection, and I just had a baby in July and would love to start a collection of books for her. The 50 states books are fantastic, and the Atlas of Animal Adventures book is exactly what my son would love!

  398. As an elementary Art teacher, I would love to use many of these books with my students! I am particularly intrigued by “Illuminature.” A good friend of mine, who is also an Art teacher, is expecting her first baby. A pile of these gorgeous books would make a wonderful gift for her and her husband to enjoy with their child!

  399. “What Do Grownups Do All Day?” looks so cute! I would love to let my little one experience these books and share them with his best friend.

  400. Destination: Space for my space-obsessed kids and Technicolor Treasure Hunt for my sweet little cousin.

  401. My boys got The 50 States book for Christmas last year and still look through it often. I think they would love The Day of the Dinosaurs. My favorite might be Wonder Garden!

  402. I bought 50 States a few months ago for my first classroom. I have been dying to get the rest of the collection because I believe my preschoolers would benefit from them greatly! 409. Destination Space would be a huge hit with my boys (ages 5 &7). Thanks for the amazing list of titles…I requested almost all of them from our public library.

  410. My pick is “What do Grownups do all day long” because, frankly, sometimes I don’t know the answer myself. My 23-month old, Jack (already an avid reader), would get a big kick out of it, as I’m sure he asks that question every day when he sees mom and dad leave home in a tizzy!

  411. I would share the book, What Do Grown Ups Do All Day, with my 3rd grade class to support our focus on college and career interest and readiness.

  412. Day of the Dinosaurs for my son! They’re all so beautifully illustrated! They would be for my son’s classroom, holiday gift donation for a family at the holidays, and friends’ kids.
