Do you all remember bolo ties? They were super popular in the 80’s and 90’s and had a very Western look to them. Well, since some of the 90’s have been making their way back recently, we decided to update the bolo tie to make it more feminine and necklace-like with the functionality of a bolo tie! Here’s how…
You’ll need:
– bead cording
– beads (some that we used: striped, large flat, mint)
– scissors
Here’s how:
1. We measured our cord to about 45″ long, but it’s best to measure by holding the cord up to your body to cut at the length you’d like it to be.
2. Add the bead that will serve as the adjustable bolo tie by folding your cord in half, and stringing your bead. It’s easiest to do this from the end that is looped.
3. Add beads on the ends of each strand.
4. Finish each end with a knot.
You can adjust them to have the main bead sit higher or lower depending on what looks best on your and what you’re wearing!

Super cute diy! May I ask where the polka dot dress in the photo with the three of you is from?
Thanks!
