We're often looking for easy, inexpensive wall art that makes a room feel special. Today, we're showing you how to make this super easy Painted Plexiglass Wall Art. Here's how…
You'll need:
– plexiglass
– copper pipe
– copper cutter
– rope (similar – ours is from Lowe's)
– acrylic paint
– paint brush
– drill & drill bit
Here's how:
1. Once you've chosen the paint colors you want, make an abstract brush stroke pattern on the plexiglass. Don't be afraid to have the colors overlap and to use different size brushes.
2. Let dry for 1 hour.
3. With a drill and drill bit large enough to fit your rope through, drill two holes—one at each top corner of the plexiglass.
4. String rope through copper pipe (you may need to cut the copper to fit the length between the holes in the plexiglass).
5. String rope through the holes in the plexiglass making sure that the painted side is on the side closest to the wall and secure two ends of the rope with a knot.

I think this kind of application may also be used for making a plexi lamp cover which will send light through colors.
