Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a nice long weekend! We’ve shown you how to go from Painting To Room before, and now we’re back with a slight variation…from PRINT to room! See how we took a floral print from the Oh Joy! shop and used it to inspire a cozy seating area…

1. Start with colors. When looking at this print for inspiration, we pulled colors from the art like coral, peach, green, teal, mint, and yellow.

You can see here how those colors were brought into the wall color, furniture, and smaller accessories (like pillow, blankets, and pouf).

2. Texture. We also brought in organic, soft, pretty, and whimsical, textures that complemented the print. We pulled in layers of plants and fresh florals to bring in the lush and organic texture of the print.

3. A Gallery Wall DIY. To help the focal print shine but also fill our space with more art, we created an organic and tonal gallery wall by framing fabric that is similar to the wall color. The simple dot print adds texture and interest without being overly distracting to keep the focus on the floral print.

4. Whimsy. Finally, add moments of whimsy sprinkled in! We incorporated friendly forest brass animals to add the perfect touch of detail throughout the space in both obvious and unexpected areas.
