Happy Wednesday! Today, we're taking you on a day trip to one of the coolest upcoming spots in Los Angeles, the Row DTLA. I was there for a conference recently and there are SO many amazing boutiques, restaurants, and shops. We didn't have enough time to stop everywhere, but here are a few of our favorite spots to hit if you find yourself looking for a fun adventure…
Hawkins New York — Everything in this store is both simple and beautiful. It's filled with curated housewares, linens, ceramics, and glassware. It's a great spot to find items to fill your home with or to gift to a friend for their housewarming.
dRA — I love this store of modern and feminine pieces! Some of my favorite coats are from dRA, and I love being able to see all of their pieces in person.
Tartine — This place is amaaaazing. It has almost anything you could want to eat or take home for your kitchen. They have a small market with unique housewares, a bakery with the most delicious pastries and sandwiches, and a sit-down restaurant. We stopped by the bakery to pick-up some mid-morning snacks and got: a morning bun, orange blossom sesame cake, chocolate salted buckwheat cookie, chocolate chip large cookie, and hazelnut chocolate tart.
Poketo — Poketo is one of our favorite Los Angeles staples, and It's impossible not to stop by. They have color, modern, and fun giftable items and pieces for you and your home.
Myrtle — Myrtle is a women's clothing boutique that specializes in independent female designers from around the world. It's filled with beautiful clothing and accessories and has lots of fun details throughout that make the shopping experience extra special…like that flamingo wall in the dressing room!
Pikunico — For lunch, stop by Pikunico for some Japanese fried chicken! We ordered Pikunico Slaw, Seaweed and Cucumber Salad, Golden Chicken Sandwich, Classic Fried Chicken Basket, and a Chicken & Ginger Rice Bowl. To drink, we ordered Yuzu-Ade which reminds me of my trip to Japan several years ago.
Omami Mini— Post lunch, dip into Omami Mini—a cute store filled with kid's clothes. It's a great place to stop if you need something special for a little one.
Still Life Ceramics — Last but certainly not least, we stopped by this amazing ceramics shop. It's filled with gorgeous ceramics AND is also a studio where people can take pottery workshops. How cool is that?! You can do a little shopping and see people making pottery, which is so fun.
Aside from all the cute shops, there are so many bright, colorful, FUN details throughout the ROW DTLA, like open seating areas with pretty pastel chairs and painted murals on the walls and ground. It's a great spot to meet friends for dinner, take the family, or spend the day outside shopping and exploring.
