We recently celebrated our Oh Joy! for Mixbook collection with an epic launch party in Los Angeles! It truly was THE BEST DAY EVER, so I wanted to share some fun photos with you to take a peek of our celebration. It was at the Southern California Children's Museum and packed with so much colorful goodness, from balloons to games to snacks and even a marionette show! Come check it out…
A few years ago the Oh Joy! team painted this fun mural in one of the Southern California Children's Museum hallways, and I love seeing it every time we visit!
This collection is extra special because 7% of ALL sales from the Oh Joy! for Mixbook collection will go to Shriners Hospitals for Children to help kids in need reach their full potential and lead more fulfilling lives. So for this event, everyone brought a new art supply to donate to Shriners. It was awesome to watch the table fill up as the event went on.
Rachel Huntington of Bonjour Fete and Royale Ziegler of But First Party did an AMAZING job producing and planning the event. We had lots of fun stations for the kids to play and let their imaginations run wild. We had a Meri Meri dress-up station, games (my favorite was the slide!), and fun photo props inspired by our collection like this giant watermelon sticker.
Another one of my local favorites, Amazebowls, was there serving up their delicious açaí bowls in so many pretty colors and flavors.
How amazing is this ombré rainbow dessert table by Josephine!? It was a fan favorite, was DELICIOUS, and matched our Ombre Oh Joy! for Mixbook design perfectly.
One of my favorite things to do with my kids in Los Angeles is catch a show at the Bob Baker Marionette Theater. SO, they stopped by to put on a show for us after Leslie (Director of Marketing at Mixbook) and I said a few words of thank you to everyone. The kids LOVED it and everyone had a blast.
We also had a fun crafting room for kids to color on a giant poster full of all things inspired by the collection. We also had tables set up with tons of markers for kids to fill out their very own Oh Joy! for Mixbook trading card!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by and helped us celebrate our new collection! It was such a fun day (truly, THE BEST DAY EVER), and it wouldn't have been possible without all of YOU! You can shop our collection here to preserve all of your precious memories in our designer photo books!

it’s very cool i like your style and taste
I love the Best Day Ever balloon display! Did you build your own letters; or buy them?
I have same question as Erica – how did you create the letters for ‘best day ever’ balloon display?
I am also curious about the letters. How did you make the “Best Day Ever” letters?
Hi Lauren!
The letters were made via the event planners linked at the bottom of the post! You can reach out to them about it!
Thank you!
Joy
