If you’re ever looking for me at a party and there’s a charcuterie board around, I guarantee I won’t be too far away from it. It’s one of my favorite snacks ever (I’d eat one for every meal if I could), and I love making them for my guests when I host. It’s so easy and looks so fancy. It’s fun to switch them up with seasonal fruits and snacks, so here’s a beautiful autumnal charcuterie board for all your fall gatherings…big or small!

When hosting a small gathering with a plate for everyone, I love to make each setting special with small, thoughtful details. This doesn’t have to be anything over the top, it can be as simple as a sprig of eucalyptus in the center of the plate.

To make the board, use whatever ingredients you like that are in season at your local market! Here’s what we used in ours…

– figs
– marcona almonds 
– dried apricots 
– sugar snap peas
– pears
– carrots
– blue cheese
– fig crackers
– pita crackers
– salami (we love soppressata!)

When arranging a board, I always start with the largest pieces…usually a block (or two) of cheese. Depending on the cheese, you can leave it whole to be cut as you go, or you can slice ahead of time to make it extra easy for guests. From there, I build out from the cheese adding cured meats around the cheese, then crackers. Since those are the largest items, place them with space between. And then filling in the spaces with smaller items like nuts, veggies, or dried fruit!

For the finishing touches, we clustered several decorate pumpkins (ours are from the dollar section at Target a few years ago!) on and around the board. For some fresh greenery, we added eucalyptus all around the board.

This is perfect for a night in with your girlfriends, or as a quick bite to eat before heading out to an event for the evening. It’s also a great snack alternative for adults on Halloween while the kids eat all the candy ;).

  1. I’m like you, I go strait to the charcuteries and cheeses, is what I enjoy the most, and also, I would have this sooner if my hosband would like it as much as I do. Thanks for the beautiful decoration.
