It's that time of year for…PAINTED PUMPKINS! I love painting pumpkins as a fun alternative to carving. It's less mess, and lots more color. So this year, we're bringing you art deco inspired designs with some brighter shades! They're colorful, chic, and easy enough for the whole family. Check it out…
You'll need…
– pumpkins
– acrylic paint
– paint brushes
– pencil
Here's how…
1. Paint your base color. Let dry fully, about 30 minutes (you may need two coats).
2. Once fully dry, use a pencil to sketch out the shapes you like.
3. Paint on the shapes, waiting for each to dry before starting the next shape that overlaps.
We used the same four colors on all three pumpkins but painted each one a different base color. This way they all compliment each other but are still a bit different!
P.S. For more painted pumpkin goodness, check out our artist inspired pumpkins and Oh Joy! inspired pumpkins!
