Style Tips: Cozy Fancy

Since we’re back in mostly stay-at-home mode, it’s been VERY difficult to have the motivation to get dressed in real clothes and not just stay in sweats all day. But my mood and motivation truly does change for the better when I get dressed for the day even if I’m working from home…

Since we’re back in mostly stay-at-home mode, it’s been VERY difficult to have the motivation to get dressed in real clothes and not just stay in sweats all day. But my mood and motivation truly does change for the better when I get dressed for the day even if I’m working from home. Elastic waistband pants are my go-to right now because they are still cozy for cooler temperatures, and I can add a bit of my fancy casual vibe as needed. So, here are a few of my favorite cozy fancy looks right now…

Outfit 1 – Stripes and Sequins
These vintage striped pants are bold (yet muted in color). I added a short sleeve sequin top and a casual denim jacket for an easy outfit that moves but feels fun! Plus, a statement necklace (this one goes with everything) tops it off perfectly.

Outfit 2 – Purple Power
This is an easy look for when you’re home but need to get dressed for a zoom (or something where a little fanciness might be required). These silk pants feel like PJs with their stretchy-waist but aren’t (a win!). I added a purple blouse for some fanciness up-top for your video calls and then layered it with a cozy sherpa jacket on top for warmth and coziness between meetings.

Outfit 3 – Tropical Disco
These pleated pants remind me of a 70’s disco party, but are also so easy to wear and move around in for your at-home dance parties. I added a vintage floral blouse and then for layering…this sequin jacket! A piece like this sequin jacket brings the fun instantly. You could wear this over PJs, too, and call it a day! 🙂
