My New Skillshare Class!

The biggest myth about successful creatives or those who seem to have the best partnerships and clients, is that the work just lands on their lap…

I’m so excited to announce that I have partnered with Skillshare to create a class for creatives, business owners, and freelancers at every stage in their careers called Pitch Please: Attract Brands & Boost Your Creative Business! (I’ll pat myself on the back for coming up with that name :P) The biggest myth about successful creatives or those who seem to have the best partnerships and clients, is that the work just lands in their lap! I’ve had that assumption made about my work, and it’s not true. So many of the partnerships I’ve had (especially product collabs) are ones that I have gone after. I learned early on from getting my very first job out of college, that to get what you want you have to go after it, and show people who you are and what you can do! That’s where a pitch comes in, and I’m going to show you exactly how to put an effective one together…

The class is less than 45 minutes long with eleven short and easy-to-watch lessons that take you from brainstorming your own brand and your aesthetic to building a digital AND physical pitch to reach out to your dream clients. We will cover who you are as a creative, what your strengths are in your field, how to kick self-doubt, research research research, and finding those brands, collaborators, and partners that are right for you! It’s fun and inspiring with a ton of lessons I had to learn the hard way that I can now share with you. Plus, if you’ve never used Skillshare before, you can share questions, resources, earn badges, and even post your work-in-progress for other student in the class (and for me) to see!

The class also includes a workbook that you can print out or use digitally to follow along, take notes, and keep your brainstorming all in one place. Ditch the doubt and learn to pitch yourself to your dream clients and collaborators!  Whether you’re looking to start a side hustle, get your name in the press, or get your product on the shelves, my guide to pitching will give you the tools to achieve your dream client, job, or collaboration.

With this link, you can get your first month on Skillshare free to watch our class (and tons of others). If you love it, then you can choose to continue your subscription and keep growing! I have been taking classes there for a while and love the range of things I can learn about. We hope you absolutely love my new Pitch Please class, and I can’t wait to hear what you do with your newfound knowledge!
