Style Tips: Statement Sweaters

How is it fall already?! While it’s not super cool (yet) here in Los Angeles, I’m ready for those layers and sharing some ways to add statement sweaters to a few different outfits. Here’s some outfit inspiration for all the things you might be doing this fall…

Outfit 1 – School Drop-Off
This is a casual look that’s cozy, yet fun. Add a graphic sweater (this one has an animal print) to your go-to pants, and it’s the start to a great fall season.

Rachel Comey x Target Animal Print Sweater, The ODELLS Pants (past season), Red Wing Heritage Clara Boots

Outfit 2 – Fall Picnic
This large-scale patterned cardigan up top mixed with small scale pattern below in the pants is a great example of pattern play. The similar tones unite it for a perfect picnic ensemble.

Misha and Puff Sweater (past season), Ace and Jig pants (past season), Red Wing Heritage Clara Boots

Outfit 3 – Apple Picking

This sleeveless denim jumpsuit can go from later summer to fall especially when layered with a jacket. Add a functional hands-free bag, and you’re ready to go!

Outfit 4 – Outdoor Celebration
Sparkles can feel harder to pull off during the cooler temperatures. But have no fear because you can add boots and a fun sweater, and it still feels like a party—just season appropriate!

  1. Hi Joy! I looooove the drop off outfit! Those pants are so comfy and cute paired with the animal print sweater that I may have to buy, and these boots. This is the New England attire I would rock but it still feels too warm for me—perhaps I am entering the peri-menopausal stage. 🤣 I could go on and on about the others but my eyes cannot avert from your cane wardrobe – where is it from!? It’s too late for me to comb through your site, I still have school emails to read!! Xo Mona
